Music lovers have been fed well with many live concerts this year. So far, we’ve already seen the likes of Ed Sheeran and IVE performing for the Malaysian crowd—with more exciting acts still to come

However, some artists are, unfortunately, not making a pitstop in Malaysia for their tour. Before you get disappointed that Olivia Rodrigo isn’t performing in KL, though, we’ve compiled the most exciting artists and bands that are travelling to our Southeast Asian neighbours that are totally worth the extra mileage. So, save your tears and start saving up to catch your faves around the region instead!

Babymonster: See You There Tour

Smashing into the K-pop scene with their fiery debut single, Sheesh, Babymonster has quickly solidified themselves as monster rookies befitting Blackpink’s sister group. Consisting of Ruka, Pharita, Asa, Ahyeon, Rami, Rora and Chiquita, with multinational members from Korea, Thailand and Japan, the girl group has captured many fans worldwide for their powerful charisma and all-round skills in vocals, dance and rap. This summer, Babymonster will hold a fan meeting covering five Asian regions to celebrate the success of their first EP. Find them in these Southeast Asian countries:

Tomorrow X Together World Tour: <Act: Promise>

Leading the wave of a new generation of K-pop boy groups is Tomorrow X Together, BTS’ brother group under Big Hit Entertainment. The members are embarking on their third world tour, Act: Promise, with two Southeast Asian countries in their sights. Consisting of Soobin, Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun and Huening Kai, the TXT has established themselves as one of the industry’s biggest boy groups with their compelling soundtrack and storytelling capturing the beauties and hardships of youth. In July 2022, they became the first K-pop group to perform at Lollapalooza and returned a year later to become the first K-pop group to headline the prestigious festival. Olivia Rodrigo: Guts World Tour 2024

Touted as one of the leading musical voices of this generation, Olivia Rodrigo rise to pop stardom is a sight to behold. Since becoming an overnight sensation with Diver’s License in 2021, the Filipino-American singer-songwriter solidified her status as a pop female powerhouse with her sophomore album Guts in 2023. Topping the charts with hits such as Vampire and Get Him Back, Guts debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and in over 13 countries. While Malaysia is not in the Asian leg of her tour (for now), you can catch Rodrigo at our Southeast Asian neighbours  on these dates:
