All the exciting live concerts in KL to look forward to in 2024

In 2023, we’ve seen a plethora of international stars show up on our shores and lit up the stage with their sold-out shows. Some of the standout acts included artists from a range of genres such as Coldplay, Muse, Fall Out Boy, K-pop groups BlackPink and NCT, and Thai band Tilly Birds

Fortunately, the momentum of the concert season is still going strong into the new year as Malaysians can already look forward to several thrilling live concerts that have been confirmed in the coming months. From Ed Sheeran’s highly awaited concert and an array of K-pop superstars gracing us with their presence to Boys Like Girls, here are the most exciting live concerts in KL to look forward to in 2024–mark your calendars!

IVE: Show What I Have Tour

All Time Low: Forever Asia 2024 Tour

Celebrating 20 years in the music industry, All Time Low will be returning to Malaysia for the first time since 2011 for a night of punk rock goodness. The quartet consisting of lead vocalist Alex Gaskarth, guitarist Jack Barakat, bassist Zack Merrick and drummer Rian Dawson, will perform songs from their ninth studio album, Tell Me I’m Alive, as well as some of their greatest hits such as Good Times, Remembering Sunday and Monster.

Malaysian Uaenas, rejoice! If you missed IU when she was in Malaysia to promote her Blueming tour, you’re in luck as she will be returning to KL once again for the Southeast Asian leg of the H.E.R World Tour! The K-pop megastar will be performing tracks from her upcoming new album, which marks her foray back to music in two years. As a singer-songwriter and actress, IU is a widely respected artist who has amassed a large following for her powerful vocals and thoughtful lyrics. She first debuted in 2008 and earned mainstream success after her breakout hit Good Day in 2010. Ticketing information has not been released yet.

Another famous artist from the world of K-pop who is set to captivate Malaysian fans is Jessica Jung, the former member of the iconic supergroup Girls’ Generation. The Rose: Dawn to Dusk Tour 

When: 31 January 2024, 8:30pm

Acclaimed South Korean indie rock band, The Rose, is coming to Malaysia. Kuala Lumpur is one of the very few Southeast Asian stops for their Dawn to Dusk Tour, so, Malaysian Black Roses, you should consider yourselves lucky! The trio consists of vocalist and guitarist Kim Woosung (who also appeared on a track with Agust D AKA BTS’ Suga), drummer Lee Hajoon and bassist Lee Jaehyeong. Known for their emotional rock sound, poetic lyrics and powerful vocals, the quartet is set to belt out a range of their English and Korean hits, including She’s In The Rain, Back To Me, Red, and Sorry.
