Welcome to the weekend! It’s the first one in March and naturally, there’s lots for you to eat, see and do. Chef Sayan Isaksson of Stockholm’s Michelin-starred Restaurant Nour has landed in the city for a week-long guest shift at Mandarin Grill in Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur. The menu is a picture of contemporary Scandinavian cuisine with flecks of Japanese flair. Standout dishes include its marbled quail egg with eggplant and black garlic, red snapper with a beurre blanc broth and seaweed cracker, and the oyster “taco” with caviar with fermented rice emulsion. The whole meal is a playground of textures and complimentary flavours that are bound to impress any gourmand.

Introduced by a collective of visionaries (who also work day jobs, might we add) with a passion for pushing creative boundaries, Night Shift is hosting its first-ever exhibition and event at APW Bangsar this weekend. This celebration of creativity—dubbed Night Shift: The Introduction—entails a unique art exhibition featuring work by local artists who come from a range of occupational backgrounds including engineers and corporate office workers. For the event, there will also be a special DJ set to keep the energy going throughout the night. Those who can’t make it this weekend can still visit the exhibition until 10 March 2024.
