7 Things you can do this weekend: 22 – 23 October 2016

1. The Whisky Society 2016 at Ruyi & Lyn, Bangsar Shopping Centre, 6pm – 10pm, 22 October

The biggest whisky tasting event of the year is happening this Saturday with more than 12 premium single malt and blended whisky labels featuring 37 variants coupled with scrumptious food. In addition, there will also be Masterclass sessions for an insight to appreciating fine whisky hosted by Glenfiddich and The Balvenie (RM300 per person, inclusive of an unlimited tasting session and will take place for one hour between 4pm to 6pm). Alternatively, Rad Impressions will be collaborating with Shawn Chong of Omakase + Appreciate and Sparrow to conduct a whisky cocktails workshop for only an additional RM50 to the standard ticket.

2. Soft textured bouquet workshop by A&E at Fancy Breakfast Club, Bangsar, 3pm – 6pm, 22 or 23 October

A master of gorgeous, charming bouquets, A&E will be hosting a workshop to teach you the basics of creating a similar soft textured bouquet using a mixture of local and imported seasonal flowers with minimal use of foliage (or none at all!).

3. An aDOGrable Gathering at Clawset Cafe, Damansara Jaya, 12pm – 5pm, 22 October

Dogs love a good party as much as us humans do so bring your furkids to this event hosted by SPCA and DogCatalogue. The first 100 attendees will receive a photo book voucher worth RM79 but otherwise, you can get a free digital photo of you and your pet at the photo booth before treating them to some freshly baked dog cookies and all-natural raw food. Attractive adoption kits will also be handed out to potential adopters.

4. Yoga in the Park: 100 minutes of pure love at KLCC Park, 10.30am – 12.30pm, 22 October

Get to know fellow yogis while getting a dose of Vinyasa yoga as guided by Olivia Mercado, a certified instructor.

5. 44th Japan Charity Bazaar 2016 at Pullman Kuala Lumpur City Centre Hotel and Residences, Jalan Conlay, 10.30am – 3pm, 23 October

Hosted by the Japan Club of Kuala Lumpur, you’ll find a variety of items for sale ranging from handicrafts to Japanese food and snacks to electrical appliances to food vouchers from hotels and restaurants – all at a special price. There will also be activities such as yukata fitting and a tea ceremony.
