In the pantheon of K-pop male heartthrobs, Kim Jong-In, otherwise known as Kai of Exo, has been topping the list since his debut with the world-renowned group eleven years ago. Known for his extraordinary talents in dancing (popularly regarded as one of K-pop’s top dancers of all time) and singing, his charming allure, and of course, his impeccable style, the beloved multi-talented icon has already swept an endless number of well-deserved accolades under his belt. Whilst the group is currently inactive due to members focusing on solo projects, as well as military enlistments, Kai is certainly not using this time to kick his feet up and slack around anytime soon, despite the eleven years of non-stop hustle alongside his fellow Exo members.
As of late, the star has been making his entrance into the world of high fashion, having been spotted on various red carpets of prominent fashion events, sitting front row at runway shows of the biggest fashion houses, gracing covers of esteemed magazines and campaigns for luxury brands, and even scooped up an opportunity to create a collaborative capsule collection with Gucci in 2021—and that’s just a few of his many accomplishments in recent years.
Dubbed as the Master of Centre, Global Fashion Icon, Crop-top King, Idol of Idols, Human Gucci, and God of Dance, amongst many other exalting monikers, it’s not hard to see why the dashing virtuoso has stolen the hearts of millions around the world and had all his fans wrapped around his finger. However, all the fangirling will soon come to an abrupt pause as Kai had just revealed that he will be enlisting for his mandatory military service on the 11th of May, much earlier than anyone expected.
