TikTok Awards Malaysia 2023: Every content creator who won

We’ve all spent hours scrolling through TikTok, be it on lazy weekends or nights when we really should be getting some sleep. From relatable memes to informative videos, we have many content creators on the social media platform to thank for the endless entertainment they provide us. On 27 August, many of these local creators got that recognition at the TikTok Awards Malaysia 2023. 

Over the weekend, the awards ceremony made its debut in Malaysia for the first time at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) Kuala Lumpur. As the go-to app for short-form videos, the event celebrated local content creators whose contributions to the platform are shaping and setting new benchmarks for the creative and content creation industry.

Hosted by Izzue Islam, Sherry Alhadad and Amelia Henderson, the awards night featured many beloved Malaysian celebrities and creators such as Dato Yusof Haslam, Bell Ngasri, Amber Chia, Farah Ann Abdul Hadi, Fattah Amin and more. The prestigious event was also graced by various performers such as Dato Sri Siti Nurhaliza, Ziana Zain, Dolla, Ernie Zakri, and Alyph amongst others.

The TikTok Awards is presented into two main segments: People’s Choice Awards, in which fans could vote for their favourite creators in each category; and Judge’s Pick Awards, where winners are selected by a panel of distinguished judges.

Amongst the huge winners are Khairul Aming who won Creator of the Year for his sumptuous-looking culinary videos, Ikhmal Nour who was awarded Rising Star of the Year for his impersonations and Ryan Bakery as Popular Creator of the Year for his comedic skits.
