Oscars 2023: 8 Watches we love from the red carpet

The Oscars 2023 style fiesta is still fresh on our minds—from the sleek, stylish tuxedos to vibrant voluminous gowns and dazzling gems that decorated the evening. On top of that, we also couldn’t help but notice some of our favourite celebrities shining in the most striking timepieces.

The 95th Academy Awards red carpet saw a large presence of watches from Omega and Cartier. However, there were some equally exceptional timepieces from Richard Mille, Jaeger-LeCoultre and more! Read on for eight watches sported by Hollywood stars on that momentous night.

Winning the Best Supporting Actor award for his performance in Everything, Everywhere, All at Once, Quan wore a stainless steel Omega Globemaster, which displays an opaline silvery dial, a co-axial master chronometer movement and a black leather strap to match his classic black single-breasted tuxedo by Giorgio Armani.

Yeoh is a brand ambassador for Richard Mille, so it is no surprise to see her wearing a timepiece from the brand—specifically, the customised version of RM 07-02, which oozes a sporty aesthetic while staying classy thanks to its diamond-studded dial.

Go big or go home, or in Elba’s case, go all Gucci or nothing at all. The presenter for the Best Director award paired his midnight blue jacquard tuxedo with the House’s award-winning G-Timeless Planetarium watch, which boasts 12 beryl stones for its indices.

Nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role in The Whale, Chau walked the red carpet in a taffy pink Prada gown with a Mandarin collar that harks back to her Vietnamese roots. The Panerai Luminor Due Luna Moonphase PAM01180, finished with a pink leather strap, completed her stunning look.

Consuelos, who showed up to the ceremony with his wife Kelly Ripa, was spotted wearing a vintage Rolex Daytona (Ref. 6263), also known as the ‘Paul Newman’ watch in the ’80s because the esteemed actor and race driver was always seen wearing it. This timepiece features a silver dial and black sub-dials.
