To say April has been a hectic month would be an understatement. With Hari Raya celebrations, exciting dining collaborations, and more, our calendars have been filled to the brim in the last few weeks. However, the city is showing no signs of slowing down (rightfully so) and we’re here to keep you on track with all the events and activities you need to know about. From KL Cocktail Week to Stellar Coffee’s Pets Market, here are all the events in KL to add to your agenda from 27 to 28 April. 

 

1. JAM OUT TO ALL TIME LOW’S GREATEST HITS AT THEIR ‘FOREVER’ TOUR STOP IN KL

Pop-punk and alternative rock band All Time Low is landing in Malaysia for a stop on their ‘Forever’ tour this Sunday. Held at Zepp KL, the concert will see members Alex Gaskarth, Jack Barakat, Zack Merrick, and Rian Dawson grace the crowd with their best tracks as well as new tunes from their latest album, Tell Me I’m Alive. VIP upgrades—including a meet and greet and priority entry—are available for those who want a little more exclusivity during their concert experience too!

2. HONOUR OUR PLANET AT ‘ECHOES OF EARTH’ BY EARTHKIND

When: 26 to 28 April 2024

Where: APW Bangsar

Price: Free entry

You’re invited to Earthkind’s first-ever pop-up, ‘Echoes of Earth’ in Malaysia this weekend at APW Bangsar! Dedicated to spreading the word of sustainability, this event’s agenda includes a range of experiences for you to learn from and immerse yourself in. First, you can pop by its photo exhibition which will feature powerful and intriguing shots by the Earthkind team and local creatives. Then, you can explore its trash art display and even attempt to DIY your own pieces with everyday waste items. Lastly, shop guilt-free with Earthkind Collective brands from all over the world from slow fashion labels to sustainable gifting collectives.

3. HANG OUT WITH FLUFFY FRIENDS AT STELLAR PETS MARKET

When: 27 and 28 April 2024 | 11am to 7pm

Where: Stellar Coffee, REXKL

Price: Free entry

Bring your furkids along to REXKL this weekend to visit Stellar Coffee’s inaugural pet market! While there, you can get in some retail therapy courtesy of local pet brands and collectives such as Notti, Have a Nice Day, and Peekaboo Paws. There will also be a handful of food vendors on site to provide us humans with some nosh too! Additionally, Lingy Cat Adoption will be present with some rescued and shelter kitties who are looking for forever homes and a family who can love them unconditionally. For the paw-rents who want to cherish their day out with their furkid, Kanta Studio’s Jeffrey Lim will be hosting instant film portrait sessions, so you can go home with a photograph to remember the day by.

4. RAISE YOUR GLASSES AT KL COCKTAIL WEEK’S FESTIVAL VILLAGE

When: 27 April 2024

Where: APW Bangsar

Get in on all the tipple cheer this weekend at KL Cocktail Week’s Festival Village at APW Bangsar! Scheduled amongst all the guest shifts, masterclasses, and pairing dinners that have been planned for this week-long tribute to the craft of cocktails, the Festival Village is a day-long celebration of drinks with a packed schedule for you to partake in. 5. GET SHUCKING AT SOUTHERN ROCK SEAFOOD’S ‘OYSTER FESTIVAL WEEKEND’

When: 26 to 28 April 2024

Where: Shucked, The Gardens Mall and Southern Rock Seafood, Bangsar

Price: RM380 per person and RM680 per couple (Oyster masterclass and pairing dinner) | RM50 (Sunday Oyster Party)

Calling all oyster lovers! This weekend, Southern Rock Seafood along with its sister oyster bar Shucked are presenting Oyster Festival Weekend with special guest Edward Gallagher of Irish Premium Oysters. The three-day affair will feature two oyster masterclasses with Cloudy Bay wine pairing dinners and a Sunday Oyster Party. During the masterclass and dinners, you’ll indulge in a seafood-forward feast while learning about the art of pairing exquisite wines with the molluscs. On the other hand, Sunday’s festivities will be a show of all things oysters including a shucking competition, live music by a Celtic band, and more.

Adidas Originals recently introduced its “1000 Back” campaign that celebrates the brand’s cultural legacy and the communities that have worn the Gazelle, Samba, and Handball Spezial. To bring the celebrations to KL, Adidas Malaysia is hosting its ‘House of Originals’ pop-up at Semua House. The event features DJ performances, exhibitions of the iconic Adidas collections, as well as interactive corners for attendees to create their own customised tote bags. On top of that, a custom pair of Adidas Originals by sneaker artist Edmond Looi will be on display for you to admire.

7. FUEL YOUR ANIME-LOVING FIRE AT ‘ATTACK ON TITAN: THE FINAL EXHIBITION’
