The 20th version of Nike’s most stable running shoe is here
Still stable after all these years
All it took was a running boom—in the United States, this was initiated in the ’70s—and as this passion grew, so did the needs in a footwear for athletes; in fact, it evolved and became more diversified. With an understanding of over-pronation (the foot rolling inward upon ground strike), Nike answered the call for a running shoe with greater stability in 1991. They called it the Nike Air Structure.
Fast forward to today, after earning legions of fans ranging from elite athletes—which includes long-distance champion Galen Rupp who wore iterations of the shoe for the past 16 years—to everyday runners to off-duty athletes, the distinctive silhouette is now in its 20th version and it’s the most advanced design to date.
The Nike Air Zoom Structure 20 comes in a special anniversary colour way with a dialled upper that aids heel and mid-foot lockdown. Coupled with the forefoot Zoom Air unit, it also features a dual-density foam which prevents over-pronation as well as facilitates smoother transitions.
The Nike Air Zoom Structure 20 arrives for men and women on September 29 at nike.com.
