Roses are red, violets are blue; if food is your love language, then this story’s for you. Valentine’s Day is creeping up on us and restaurant reservations will be snapped up before you know it! For those with a romantic Valentine’s (or Galentine’s) Day meal on the cards, here is our roundup of restaurants that are sure to add some romance to your day of love.

Chipta 11A has curated a menu that centers around the fusion of Japanese and Malaysian flavours that they’re known for. Getting you started on the menu are five exquisite starters, including an idli with tuna tartare and a sea bream sashimi rose. You’ll move on to your mains with your choice of aged Australian Wagyu, aged duck, or lobster. For carbs, a delightful bowl of Asam Jawa rice with chutoro, hamachi, and uni—served with a heartwarming bowl of miso soup—will tide you over until dessert.

For dinner with a stunning view, make your reservations at Marble 8 in the heart of the city. The premier steakhouse has put together an elegant menu for the occasion, starting with an amuse bouche trio and a seafood duo. Adding some gorgeous pink hues to your meal is the beetroot risotto followed by a grilled Wagyu MB9 tenderloin. If you prefer fish, an ocean trout is also available in place of the steak. Sweet endings come in the form of raspberry tiramisu and pralines.

Take your love to new heights at Marini’s on 57, where both the view and its fine Italian cuisine will win your heart. The Michelin-selected restaurant’s menu for the occasion opens with its signature scrambled eggs with black truffle shavings and a starter trio comprising Gallagher oysters and caviar, king crab salad, and pan-fried foie gras. For mains, you’ll indulge in a riovolone pasta and either a Wagyu MB9 tenderloin, roasted lamb rack, or roasted Tasmanian ocean trout as your protein. A truffle taleggio pre-dessert will be served, followed by the special Dolce di San Valentino dessert.

Maristar is the ideal venue for couples who love a good party after their meals. The Valentine’s Day menu features dishes such as a fresh king tiger prawn salad with lemon zest and tomato confit, porcini mushroom ravioli with spinach sauce and truffle oil, and a rich Wagyu beef cheek. Those who prefer fish over beef can opt for the pan-seared salmon trout with roasted mini potatoes and béarnaise sauce. For dessert, you’ll indulge in a special Torta Di Formaggio Alle Fragole before heading off to the dance floor.

Celebrate your love with exquisite dishes courtesy of Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill and its five-course Valentine’s Day menu. The meal begins with Irish oysters, followed by either the restaurant’s signature Arnold Bennett twice-baked Souffle, hamachi with lemon-soy vinaigrette  or cauliflower risotto. You also get to pick your main course from a choice of cod zucchini, lamb ribeye, or the Classic Beef Wellington. A sumptuous selection of sides—including a truffled potato au gratin—will supplement your meal. To satisfy your sweet tooth, choose from its selection of desserts including apple tarte tatin or chocolate soufflé.

At The Hub SS2, Gooddam has prepared a lavish modern Italian meal for you to enjoy with your favourite person. The nine-course menu includes swoon-worthy dishes such as Wagyu tartare with local tuna flakes, hay-smoked snapper with aioli and winter melon, and aged duck with a sausage and bagnet vert. For dessert, you’ll enjoy a brown butter ice cream and a surprise Valentine’s sweet bite.

The Chow Kit Kitchen & Bar is the perfect intimate setting for couples who love their local flavours with a modern touch. The four-course menu starts with poached tiger prawns with char-grilled water bamboo shoots, chickpea purée, and curried eggplant chips. You’ll get your fill of tasty cards with the restaurant’s signature chilli crab pasta, followed by a main of either charcoal-grilled chicken or slow-cooked beef ribs. This one’s for the steak lovers! Maria’s Steakcafé has prepared a menu that features a variety of dishes for you and your loved one to indulge in. You’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to your mains with a wide array of proteins to choose from. Standouts on the menu include a succulent maguro tuna appetiser, a juicy Australian Black Angus steak, and a mouthwatering Lobster Thermidor. As for dessert, you’ll be served a creamy blueberry cheesecake to conclude your meal.

Its menu is riddled with dishes that scream romance, including an aphrodisiac or two. A fiery six-course dinner awaits at Ignis in Bangsar South, perfect for couples who love their flame-grilled dinners. Kicking off the meal is a Hokkaido scallop snack with smoked ricotta, horseradish, and pain de mie. You get both hot and cold appetisers with the potato gnocchi with smoked scamorza sauce and a cold mud crab capellini with an asam pedas broth. For those seeking modern European fare on Valentine’s Day, head to Ora Dining for some handmade pasta and more. Its special menu starts with some Hokkaido scallops on toast and oysters before moving on to a pasta main of your choice. You’ll then choose between an Australian tenderloin with foie gras and a seared red snapper with caviar as your second main. The meal is topped off with a sticky date pudding to end the night.
