What to wear for Good Vibes Festival 2019—without splurging on new outfits

Following Coachella in April and Glastonbury in June, festival season is finally upon us in Malaysia, as Good Vibes Festival is happening this weekend. Since its inception in 2013, the two-day event has been one of the most sought-after by music lovers and cool kids alike, but before you start the countdown to Saturday, you first have to work on an important task: planning your outfit. While flower crowns and boho dresses are all expected, dressing for a music festival doesn’t have to be this predictable. If there’s something we can learn from the celebrities at Glastonbury last month, it’s that sometimes, easy does it. Most of the ensembles spotted are made up of essentials that most of us already have in our closet. No splurging needed.

Leading the fashionable celeb attendees was Dua Lipa, who wore cool sunnies, stacked jewellery and edgy combat boots on both days. One ensemble was a nylon sweatsuit and a matching bralet, and the other, a cute cherry-print top and mom jeans. Don’t have those pieces in your closet? Fret not. Alexa Chung, a regular of the English festival, stuck to her signature utilitarian outerwear, layering the pieces from her collaboration with British label Barbour over plain maxi dresses or a classic shirt-and-jeans combo. Other noteworthy mentions include sisters Suki and Immy Waterhouse, who rocked laidback ensembles made up of oversized shirts, cropped tops, flared trousers and a festival must-have-retro round sunglasses.

Below, all the (easy) celebrity looks to emulate for Good Vibes Festival 2019:
