Enjoy!
Louis Vuitton ArtyCapucines collection
Louis Vuitton announces the third chapter of their ArtyCapucines Collection, in collaboration with six internationally acclaimed artists who have each created their own version of the timeless and feminine Capucines bag. As an extension of the brand’s longstanding desire and unique ability to innovate artisanal savoir-faire, the project helps each artist bring their ideas to life and adds to the existing collection of distinctive designs that have seen celebrated artists like Henry Taylor, Zhao Zhao and Beatriz Millhazes create their own interpretations in the past.
Above, see the latest renditions of the classic Capucines in the studios of six contemporary creatives: Chicago-born painter Donna Huanca’s tactile creation complete with hand-painted embroidery and piercing rings; the brilliantly coloured fantasy landscape of Huang Yuxing’s Capucines; German artist Gregor Hildrebrand’s black and white, screen-printed leather bag inlaid with his signature vinyls; the complex leather marquetry and rich gold-leaf gilding of Paola Pivi’s design; found-materials artist Vik Muniz’s joyful trompe l’oeil effect; and painter Zeng Fanzhi’s reinterpretation of a Van Gogh self-portrait that holds over 700,000 remarkably worked embroidery stitches.
Each bag will be available in a limited edition of 200 and released in stores worldwide on October 29.
Burberry Lola family
Re-introducing Burberry’s Lola, the rebellious, unstructured little sister of the ever-elegant TB bag. New additions to the family debuted during Riccardo Tisci’s AW21 ready-to-wear runway to present the classic Lola bag in a soft check cashmere edged in lambskin, as well as new season colours that include a rich maple brown and deep saffron. The quilted creation is punctuated with the Thomas Burberry Monogram and an adjustable chain strap that allows you to wear it on the shoulder or as a crossbody.
The Lola bag has also been reimagined in new silhouettes: the satchel-style Lola Zip and the Lola Bucket bag. Crafted in lamb leather, the spacious Lola Zip features iconic exploded check quilting and arrives in various colourways including pale vanilla, deep saffron, black and maple brown. Meanwhile, the lambskin Lola Bucket is available in three sizes––medium, small and micro for different daily needs––and is equipped with a polished chainlink and gold-tone monogram plaque on the front for an ultra-sophisticated touch.
Latest iterations to the Lola family is available now on Burberry.com.
Loewe Amazona collection
In conjunction with their 175th anniversary, Loewe’s Amazona bag returned in two new styles during the house’s AW21 runway collection. Named after female characters of Greek mythology, the top-handle soft bag was originally designed in the 1970s for a new wave of career women. As such, the Amazona was made to be comfortable yet versatile, with a classic hooped handle and ample space to hold everything we’d need for the day-to-day.
Its resurrection arrives just in time as we gear up to move outdoors—in a vibrantly coloured range of soft nappa calfskin (including shades of Avocado Green, Black, Lagoon Blue, Lime Yellow, Mink and Warm Desert), and another range with the house’s Anagram symbol woven in a repeating jacquard pattern on blended cotton-canvas. In addition to adjustable and removable leather straps, large, zipped compartments have been added with our inseparable gadgets in mind, alongside a fully functional padlock and an inside mini-pocket to hide away its key. Meanwhile, the jacquard assortment also comes in a specially treated fabric that renders the bag water-repellent and resistant to stains; and in two colourways of navy against a black calfskin trim, and green with avocado calfskin trim.
Both ranges are available in two sizes—the Amazona 19 Square and the Amazona 28—with numbers denoting their width in centimetres.
The Amazona bag collection is available now on Loewe.com.
Mulberry x Richard Malone collaboration
As the latest chapter in Mulberry Editions, a collaboration tradition launched during the brand’s 50th anniversary year. Mulberry joined forces with Richard Malone to create a limited-edition capsule that was unveiled during the Irish-born, London-based designer’s SS22 runway at London Fashion Week. Inspired by post-modern and 1970s design, the new collection combines Mulberry heritage with Malone’s bold design language, and arrives in a punchy palette of blue, red, green and white.
Two much-loved and recognisable Mulberry bags, the Bayswater and the Darley, were transformed by Malone to deliver new designs that will effortlessly adapt into busy lifestyles. Iconic elements are dissected and design details subverted to introduce a deconstructed version of the Bayswater, where interior design details such as pockets, piping and serial numbered fobs are transported to the bag’s exterior Two new silhouettes are also presented through the Triangle Bayswater and a cylindrical version dubbed the Barrel Bag. Mulberry’s signature hardware is also reimagined in a leather casing for a subtle, modern update, while an eco-friendly version of Mulberry’s signature scotchgrain material––crafted from innovated bio-synthetic materials––was used across all styles.
Accompanied by accessories including a coin pouch and key fob, the Mulberry x Richard Malone collection consists of a Bayswater, Mini Bayswater, Triangle Bayswater, Barrel Bag and Small Darley. It is available now on mulberry.com and in stores worldwide.
