Under the theme ‘Karl Lagerfeld: A line of Beauty’, the glamorous Met Gala, set in New York’s Metropolitan Museum, has been the talk of the town since earlier this morning, with endless looks served by A-list celebrities.
On the red carpet, Anne Hathaway stunned in Versace’s cream-coloured tweed gown, reconstructed with giant gold pins, while Cara Delevingne—a longstanding Chanel muse—wore an edgy collared dress coupled with leather thigh-high warmers fashioned by Karl Lagerfeld himself. While some Hollywood stars have made it an annual tradition to attend the stylish extravaganza, it was a first for Jennie of Blackpink, who walked in a vintage Chanel white minidress, as well as Devon Aoki, who wore Moschino’s mermaid dress decorated with wings on the chest.
Let’s not forget how the lads played their best this year, either! Jackson Wang sported a custom Louis Vuitton suit, while Chinese singer Cai Xukun donned a crystal-encrusted overcoat by Prada in keeping up with the theme. Not to be missed is the appearance of Pedro Pascal, who was dressed in a stunning red Valentino number with short black shorts—driving the internet into a frenzy.
Of course, a little drama never hurt, as seen by Lil Nas X’s entrance in a metallic Dior Men thong and silver body paint embellished with pearls and jewels. The cutest of them all had to be Jared Leto and Doja Cat, who both wore cat costumes inspired by Lagerfeld’s white cat, Choupette.
