BURO Spotlights: Suen Jewellers Celebrates 15 Years of Excellence With a Dazzling Gala

A lot of things have changed since Suen Jewellers came on the scene in 2010. From growing its portfolio of international brands to expanding its footprint with standalone boutiques in The Exchange TRX’s Seibu, the homegrown brand has successfully established itself as the new guard of the jewellery industry. All of these milestones, and then some, were recently revisited in a night of sparkling celebration as the jeweller marked its 15th anniversary.
Held at The Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur, the gala dinner charted the evolution of the brand with a special exhibition, showcasing both Suen’s original creations and the exquisite pieces by its acclaimed partners. One of the head-turning novelties on display was the anniversary-exclusive Cadillac Diamond collection. As the name may suggest, the novelties feature architectural Cadillac-cut diamonds, paying homage to the brand’s proud legacy.
“Fifteen years is more than a milestone. It’s every ‘yes,’ every memory made, every piece chosen with heart. Suen was built on quiet gestures, thoughtful decisions, and the belief that jewellery should feel personal,” said founder and BURO Malaysia’s cover star Lee Sze Suen. “Through the years, styles have changed, stories have evolved, but what hasn’t changed is how we make people feel when they walk through our doors. It’s not just about wearing something beautiful. It’s about what you’re saying when you choose it,” she added.
Giving a glimpse of things to come in its next chapter, Suen treated those in attendance with a series of videos that expressed the essence of legacy, artistry, love, and meaning. What transpired next was a moment of pure magic. As the guests savoured the rich flavours of a carefully curated menu, legendary singer Datuk Sheila Majid emerged from the crowd, serenading the audience with a medley of her greatest hits like ‘Lagenda’ and ‘Sinaran’.
But the best was yet to come. Drawing the curtain on the unforgettable event, Suen brought a touch of thrill to the evening with a lucky draw contest, where guests stood a chance to win exciting gifts from the brand and its partners Damiani, Fope, Mariani, Hodel Switzerland, and Palmiero. The excitement reached a crescendo as Suen presented 15 lucky winners with Cadillac-cut diamonds as a symbolic gesture that honoured its remarkable journey.
