In actuality, stars gave us plenty to pore over, from ostentatious, heritage-rich baubles to contemporary pieces that served as a daring fashion statement. Leaning towards the former would be Lady Gaga, who wore the iconic Tiffany Yellow Diamond—the third time that it’s been worn since its creation, a whopping 128.54-carat stunner with matching yellow and white diamond earrings; and Charlize Theron, who decked her neck, wrists, and earlobes with more than 300 carats of diamonds from Bulgari’s Serpenti collection.

Stars who lent an air of simplicity to their otherwise dramatic ensembles include Gemma Chan (in mismatched earrings from Bulgari), Sarah Paulson’s breathtaking choker and earrings from Harry Winston, and Rachel Weisz, who wore brooches from Cartier’s vintage collection as a headpiece.
