The key trends of the #Oscars2019 — pink and lots of volume

'Think pink' was definitely on the minds of many celebrities during Hollywood's biggest night of the year. The red carpet was swamped with jaw-dropping looks in hues of shocking pink, fuchsia, blush and the like. Gemma Chan floored us once again in a ruffled Valentino Couture gown while Sarah Paulson exuded strength and elegance in a cut-out Brandon Maxwell gown. Breakout star Kiki Layne is definitely one to watch and flaunted her figure in a form-fitting Atelier Versace dress with an asymmetrical neckline and oversized bow decor. Linda Cardellini in Schiaparelli Haute Couture was a breath of fresh air in multiple layers of tulle and so was Kacey Musgraves in Giambattista Valli. Judging by the pink looks alone, volume and movement was definitely the main takeaways from the night.

Jason Mamoa and Lisa Bonet opted for a softer shade with matching blush ensembles from Fendi. (Peep the scrunchie on his right arm, that's the real MVP). Our favourite decluttering guru, Marie Kondo was present too and we're going to go ahead and say it — her sequin and lace Jenny Packham dress definitely sparked joy.
