“I love movement in a photo. Try not to shoot a photo where the subject is still or looking at the camera. Add some movement: Look away, pretend you’re walking, use a side profile. Most importantly, find a nice background. If the subject is moving, use Burst mode. You’ll definitely get a nice shot.” — Louis Gan

“The ultra-wide-angle lens, of course! Here’s a tip, though: When shooting in ultra-wide-angle but under bad lighting conditions, your photos might not look sharp enough at times. Don’t worry, you just need to sharpen it in Editing mode. Also, I recommend turning on “Photos Capture Outside the Frame” and “Videos Capture Outside the Frame”. You can find it via Settings > Camera > Composition. This is helpful when you take a photo and later realised something was accidentally cut out of the frame. Turning this on would help you “recover” that missing subject in Editing mode, thanks to one of your other lenses (either ultra-wide-angle or the wide-angle).” — Louis Gan

“Quicktake. Imagine you’re taking pictures and then realised you want to record a video as well. On older iPhones, you’d have to switch to Video mode and tap on the record button - the moment might be over by then. “Night Mode doesn’t work with the 0.5x ultra-wide-angle lens. My advice is to best use a tripod as you really need the camera to be steady. But otherwise, if you stay as still as possible, it should still work as there’s optical image stabilisation, which works to reduce the effect of shaky cams.
