The World’s 50 Best Bars 2021 list has officially been announced, with notable shifts in the top 10. London’s Connaught Bar retains its crown as the World’s Best Bar for the second consecutive year, making it the third bar to have achieved this feat in the awards’ 13-year history.
While London may have taken the top two spots, it’s Spain that leads Europe in terms of numbers with four bars on the list. Singapore takes the cake with six out of 15 bars in Asia that made the list, despite relinquishing the award of Asia’s Best Bar to Hong Kong.
After a virtual ceremony in 2020 due to the pandemic, the awards took place live in London’s Roundhouse this year—having consulted extensively with industry figures, Academy Chairs, bartenders, bar owners, and partners with “overwhelming feedback” that the awards should be held in person.

Although Malaysia’s Bar Trigona didn’t make the top 50 in 2021, the award-winning sustainable bar retains its position as the Best Bar in Malaysia, taking the 52nd spot on the World’s 50 Best Bars 2021 51-100 List.
