2. Discover The Makers Project exhibition at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur

The Balvenie has collaborated with homegrown designer and batik artist Fern Chua for The Makers Project, an inaugural exhibition celebrating the art of craftmanship. Fern is one of six artists selected from around the region for the global campaign, which spotlights the craftsmen behind the Five Rare Crafts at the heart of The Balvenie’s whisky-making process. Held in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, the exhibition will entail an exclusive preview of Fern’s commissioned designs, as well as a sensorial journey where visitors will get to enjoy two drams of The Balvenie whiskies.

3. Visit Jonetz by Don Don Donki at Tropicana Gardens Mall

Where: Concourse and Ground Floor, Tropicana Gardens Mall, No. 2A, Persiaran Surian, Tropicana Indah, 47810 Petaling Jaya

Famed Japanese specialty store Don Don Donki has opened its second outlet at Tropicana Gardens Mall on 10 December 2021, bringing its extensive range of offerings closer to Petaling Jaya folks. The new store features a “Japanese gourmet trip” concept, represented by the ‘Yatai’ (translated to mean ‘small, mobile food stalls’) that imitate a train. Each yatai offers famous dishes from various areas in Japan such as takoyaki (octopus balls) in Osaka and ikayaki (grilled squid) in Hokkaido, providing the unique experience of travelling by train to different gourmet stops.

Aside from that, the store specialises in premium wagyu beef processed at halal-certified slaughterhouses, so Muslim customers can shop with peace of mind. There’s also a ‘Cosme Donki’ cosmetics corner, offering an assortment of premium Japanese cosmetics.

5. Admire art at ArtisFair 2.0

Following a successful maiden fair, ArtisFair is back by popular demand for its second iteration. Priding itself as the biggest hybrid art fair in Malaysia, the month-long experience will feature even more artworks from over 500 artists, focusing on the intimate experience between the art and the artist. In addition, there will be art talks between renowned artist Jafaar Ismail and Bernard Chandran, challenging the notions of how art is represented.

7. Shop at the newly opened Adidas Brand Centre

Where: LG1.18-1.20A & G1.17-1.19 Sunway Pyramid

Adidas Malaysia has recently unveiled the Adidas Brand Centre Sunway Pyramid, the largest brand centre in Southeast Asia. Spanning 17,000 square feet, the double-storey retail experience boasts an extensive range of sports performance and sports style products, as well as a customisation zone. Customers can shop from the tennis, golf and water sports categories for both men and women, on top of the existing running, training, athleisure, football, and lifestyle categories.

There are also unique localised experience zones designed in partnership with local graphic designer Valen Lim—such as the Adidas kopitiam menu on the community table and the heritage store signage—as well as a Sustainability Zone to educate consumers on marine plastic pollution. What’s more, there’s a Test & Create zone for customers to try out the best of what the brand has to offer in-store.
