7 Things you can do this weekend: 26-27 March 2016

1. SDS Holi 2016, 11am – 3pm, Sat

The popular Holi Festival organised by SDS Youth KL is back and with 2,000 kilos of colours, it’s going to be even bigger, wetter and more colourful where they’re even going to try for the record of ‘The Largest Holi Celebration in Malaysia’ for the Malaysian Book of Records. That’s not all they have to offer on that day as there’ll be talented DJ’s and local performers as well authentic Northern Indian cuisine.

Admission is priced at RM15 and it’s held at the Shree Lakshmi Narayan Mandir Kuala Lumpur. For more information, visit their Facebook page

2. Hook & Cook Seafood Festival by 8 Gourmets Gala (EGG), 5pm – 12am, Sat

How much do you love your crabs, lobsters and fish? Get all that and more at the only seafood festival in Kuala Lumpur. There’ll also be a wide variety of arts and crafts vendors, refreshing (and unique) drinks, live music and fun games.

Admission is free. For more information, visit their Facebook page.

3. A Sunday Affair at TREC KL, 4pm – 10.30pm, Sun

The city’s first music-centric flea market is back for a second edition with Zouk KL joining the party. Besides live entertainment from some of the most gifted local musicians such as Bittersweet, Froya, Lapsap, +2dB and many more, there will also indie retailers with their unique offerings as well as a wide selection of food trucks and F&B brands that will be ready to serve your hungry tummy. If that’s not enough to entice you, the life-size Jenga prepared by Zouk KL, Beer Pong and vintage retro games from the good ol’ Atari, Nintendo and Playstation 1 just might.

Admission is free and parking at TREC KL will be charged at RM5 per entry. For more information, visit their Facebook page.

4. Easter Sunday Brunch at Shook! at Starhill Gallery, 12pm – 4pm, Sun

Celebrating Easter but unsure of where to do it? Shook! is doing something a little different from the usual—a Mad Hatter Easter Champagne brunch. There’ll be an array of delicacies, endless flow of crisp, bubbling Moët & Chandon Champagnes and a special setting of Shook!’s adaptation of Alice in Wonderland

Shook!’s Easter Champagne Brunch is priced at RM330 per person or RM210 for guests who opt for just the buffet spread. For enquiries or to make a reservation, call 03-2782 3875 or email [email protected]

5. Win a 3D2N stay at JW Marriott Kuala Lumpur and two invites to the opening night of Starhill Gallery Fashion Week

The second and third prize aren’t too bad either (read: a RM500 Sephora shopping voucher and high tea for two at The Ritz-Carlton, Kuala Lumpur).

6. Win a set of ‘Magic Cleansers’ to begin your journey to beautiful skin

Sephora has four new-age products that pack a punch and you know what they say: good skin begins with a good skin regime.
