For the entire month of May, TRX Eats is back for the second year in a row to bring you a tonne of dining experiences with irresistible deals to match. Here are three picks of TRX Eats 2025 options that we think you should have on your radar this month.

UPPER PALACE

Cementing itself as the place to be for refined, heartwarming Teochew cuisine, Upper Palace has got a lot in store for its diners within its elegant 10,000-square-foot space. With an extensive menu, it’s hard not to keep your orders short, so dining with a group is pretty much a must. Let us introduce you to a couple of our favourites.

First, the lychee wood-roasted Peking duck arrives steaming on a trolley, accompanied by a chef who skillfully shaves off thin slices to be wrapped with cucumbers, scallions, and hoisin sauce in a thin pancake. We also love the double-boiled kong fu soup served in a little teapot, and imbibed from delicate little cups. Lastly, the braised goose combination is yet another star on the menu, served with pork knuckle and cuttlefish. During this TRX Eats campaign, diners can enjoy not one, but two bird’s nest with mashed taro desserts on the house with a minimum spend of RM500.

CAFÉ COLOMBO

Those who crave Sri Lankan flavours can always depend on Café Colombo to deliver exactly what they need. Here, you’ll get your dose of the fiery flavours, fragrant spices, and hearty plates that the cuisine is known for. Want a steaming fresh chicken biryani? You got it. Have a smoky and sweet Jaffna crab curry on your mind? They do too. Can’t say no to some spice with a mutton varuval? You don’t have to! And if appams are your guilty pleasure, you’ll never be in the wrong here.

Tying it all together, the cosy dining room is the perfect place to gather for a workday lunch or a relaxed evening with your favourite foodies. In conjunction with TRX Eats, Café Colombo has prepared a special Heritage Platter just for the month. It serves two people and covers everything you could ask for with a quintessential Sri Lankan meal. It includes your choice of rice, curry, and dessert, which will all be served with a selection of relishes, some pickles, an eggplant thiyaal, and vegetarian cutlets.

WARUNG EROPA

Maybe that Bali beach holiday can’t come soon enough but Warung Eropa is here to take care of your cravings, conveniently situated at The Exchange TRX’s Dining Terrace. Its menu is dotted with regional staples, ensuring you can have your favourites without having to leave the city. The bebek goreng is an essential order, starring the restaurant’s signature crispy duck. Giving each bite an Indonesian kick are the sambals that come along with it. For dessert, the es campur is the best way to end your meal, in our opinion. Refreshing, milky, and fruity, the dessert is a bright reminder of Balinese flavours that will leave you wanting to book your flight tickets ASAP.

Throughout the TRX Eats month, Warung Eropa is whipping up a special Ayam Gulung Rica Rica Butter. With a tagline that reads “a bold twist on tradition”, the dish is a must-have on the table for those who appreciate modern takes on classic dishes. While the dish’s main component is the rolled chicken with European herbs, what ties the entire dish together is the rica rica sauce. Buttery and with just the right amount of spice, it is the perfect accompaniment for all the elements in the dish.
