We introduce you to the must-know new restaurants, cafés, and bars to check out around KL and PJ this March 2026, including Tobon Izakaya and Apartment 80.

It seems March has arrived at the speed of lightning. We’ve sped through Valentine’s Day, Chinese New Year and the beginning of Ramadan all in the span of 28 days and here we are, already at the third month of the year. Just as you’ve been heading around for house visits and Raya shopping, we hope you’ve been able to squeeze in some good eats! To guide you through this month’s munching, here is the March 2026 edition of #BUROEats, complete with all the must-know restaurants, cafés, and bars that have recently joined the scene.

Wisma Cosway has seen somewhat of a Renaissance lately, housing a number of the city’s up-and-coming eateries. This month, it welcomes Francobolli Pasta, a cosy eatery where you can scratch your itch for fresh, handmade pasta at. They started out supplying restaurants with their creations and now serve their own plates. Don’t know where to start? Go for its linguine with anchovy butter for a simple and savoury treat or its Mafalda and Wagyu beef mafalda for something a little more indulgent.

Perched on the rooftop of the storied REXKL, Apartment 80 takes its position as the buiding’s resident dessert expert. Made for laidback hangouts with a sweet undertone, the space is rugged yet relaxed and feels like the living room of a close friend. It’s running on a soft launch basis for the rest of the month as it gets its creases ironed. On its eight-item menu, you’ll find unorthodox plates such as a fig tart with lime curd, French toast with pandan cream, and hojicha “tea-ramisu”.

Built on the homey Japanese flavours that the owners fell in love with during their time studying in Tokyo, Blue Hour aims to bring you comfort within their bowls. The main character on the menu is its abura soba, a dish near and dear to the couple. Even after returning to home grounds, they couldn’t seem to forget the flavours that carried them through cold winter nights and beyond. At Blue  Hour, you’ll get a taste of this sentimental dish and other simple dishes that will always hit the spot.

Led by celebrated and accomplished bartender David Hans, Bar Gaya is Telawi’s latest tipple hangout. Hans returns from a long hiatus, which followed successful stints at Three X Co and more. The current menu is temporary, detailing eleven drinks with some of Hans’ signatures sprinkled throughout. Each cocktail leans on the daring side without tipping over into the blasphemous. Take its Eastern Poem for example. With ginseng and pei pa koa in the mix, flavours are bound to be strong but end up being pleasantly complex.
