Foodie hotspots
1. Breakfast Spot
Making its debut along the increasingly popular Jalan Sin Chew Kee, Breakfast Spot lives up to its name as the latest cafe in Bukit Bintang for your first meal of the day. The double-storey space was formerly a homestay before it was refurbished to its current state, featuring a glasshouse-style patio and striking green and white facade. Inside, monochromatic murals juxtapose neatly potted greens, setting a charming ambiance with plenty of photogenic corners. Kitchen service starts as early as 8am, with options including pancakes, French omelette, and a DIY Big Breakfast, accompanied by your preferred cup of coffee or tea.
Address: 2, Jalan Sin Chew Kee, Bukit Bintang, 50150 Kuala Lumpur

Bangsar’s new cafe cum event space boasts distinctively Nordic-style interiors with white-on-white furniture and fixtures. Imagine scattered pebbles for seats and fine objets d’art placed carefully on tables occupying the upper floor of a sunlit shoplot in the Telawi area and you’ll get the picture. The cafe’s humble assortment of pastries takes inspiration from Parisian boulangeries and patisseries, comprising buckwheat sourdough loaves, decadent cakes, and imported macarons from France.
Address: 34-1, Jalan Telawi 2, Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur
Opening hours: 8am to 8pm (Mondays to Thursdays) | 8am to 10pm (Fridays to Sundays)

Take A Bow just opened its doors at The Sphere in June, but is already fast becoming a hotspot among the city’s cafe-hopping crowd. It’s not hard to see why, thanks to its cosy cottage-inspired aesthetic and laid-back atmosphere. Established by Third Wave—which is also responsible for Sunbather Coffee right next door—the new concept encourages customers to “celebrate the tiny victories” in life, and what better way than with a good meal? The current soft-launch menu features a variety of dishes with international influences, such as Turkish Eggs, Banh Mi on Avo, and Swedish meatballs.
