Fuego is a South American restaurant located on the 23rd floor of The Troika building with views of the KLCC Park and KL’s city skyline. Located among five other dining venues here, Fuego has the best terrace and view as well as a fun and lively atmosphere. The menu here consists of a mix of tapas with dishes like Argentinian squid, cauliflower steak, paprika lamb ribs, with a variety of guacamole and ceviche. A good selection of cocktails is also served here, with options such as the Fuego Mojito which is a twist on the classic mojito and Marimbar Summer incorporating Bacardi carta negra with aperol, passion fruit, lemon, and salted vanilla pineapple syrup.

3. WET DECK

Although Wet Deck isn’t located among the highest floors of W Kuala Lumpur, it’s still technically a rooftop destination—and the views here promise to impress. Some may even consider its vantage point of the iconic Petronas Twin Towers to be the best in the city, thanks to its proximity to the landmark. Nestled on the 12th floor of the leading luxury hotel, the poolside al fresco space serves up a plethora of international delights, spanning salads, snacks, pizzas, grilled meats, as well as Nikkei delicacies and antichuchos. But the place really comes to life after sundown, with signature mixes and an extensive list of wines and spirits ensuring a good time.

Thirty8, as the name suggests, is located on the 38th floor of the Grand Hyatt in Kuala Lumpur. A unique feature of the restaurant is that the kitchen and bar is strategically located in the middle, allowing diners to enjoy a 360-degree view of the city. The menu comprises a variety of Western, Chinese, and Japanese dishes, with responsibly sourced seafood certified by MSC, ASP, BAP, and WWF. Several curated tasting menus for two, including a vegetarian option is also available for visitors who would like to sample some of the more popular choices. 6. SABAYON

Sabayon is an award-winning restaurant situated on the highest floor of Sky51, within the Equatorial Plaza in downtown KL. Located on the highest floor of the Steg Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, Gyukyoku is a stylish wine and dine venue designed by one of Japan’s renowned restaurant interior designers. Fully-owned and run also by a Japanese head chef and bartender, the menu is of course authentically Japanese with signature dishes including omakase, premium wagyu beef, and sashimi. The venue offers expansive views of the Petronas Twin Towers and is separated into two main areas—the indoor restaurant and the open concept cocktail bar. This is one place you can come to for really late night suppers as the venue is open until 5am every day!

9. ALVA

 The city’s latest rooftop dining sensation is located on the 99th floor of the Ascott Star KLCC with exceptionally breathtaking views of the Petronas Twin Towers, The Exchange 106, and the vast cityscape coming alive at night fall. The casual and cheerful atmosphere delights diners from all over, as they come for some of the restaurant’s signature dishes such as the Atlantic cod with fragrance lotus leaf, spinach risotto with Thai grilled cuttlefish, and the garlic prawn pasta just to name a few. For dessert, Alva recommends the Above the Cloud Tiramisu, made with 70 per cent dark cocoa powder, mascarpone, airy almond sponge infused with Ipoh coffee and wrapped in a unique crispy outer layer that is sure to tantalise your taste buds. One of KL’s most premier rooftop destinations, Cielo has stunning views, gourmet food and a range of cocktails and drinks to be devoured.
