Deepavali, also known as Diwali, is a Festival of Lights that celebrates the triumph of light over darkness, and good over evil. It is one of the major holidays celebrated in Malaysia by Hindus, Jains, and Sikhs, and usually lasts five days. 

With the festive occasion just around the corner on 12 November, here are some scrumptious buffets and menus around the city to light up your celebrations. From decadent spreads of classic Indian delicacies to hearty home-style platters that are great for families, you and your loved ones will be spoilt for choice come this auspicious occasion.

Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur

For the second time, Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur has teamed up with The Oberoi Group to serve up an exquisite traditional menu from the lengths and breadth of India. Stepping into Mosaic, acclaimed Chefs Arjun Yadava accompanied by Senior Chef Damanraj Singh Dhindsa, Chef Arindam Basu and F&B manager Prateek Gulati curate an extravagant lineup of Indian delicacies not to be forgotten.
