As Valentine’s Day approaches, there are several things one must do to prepare: 1) get glowing skin, 2) hint to your partner on your desired gift, 3) get him a gift, and last but not least, 4) plan where you two will be celebrating. Unless you’re heading out of town for a romantic getaway, you can either stay in and whip up a home cooked meal that will surely impress or visit one of these restaurants to savour a lovely Valentine’s Day menu.
Make your loved one feel like they are floating on cloud nine with a dining experience in the sky. Located on level 56 of Menara Petronas, Nobu KL is the perfect place to bring your boo for an unforgettable 7-course Valentine’s Day Omakase. A provocative conception of Dark Rum infused with coffee beans, orange peel, lemongrass and Maraschino cherries called “Bitter My Lip” paves the way for a degustation of the Japanese-Peruvian cuisine signature to Nobu.
Dishes like the delicate salmon confit cooked at a gentle 55-degree heat and scallop sashimi dyed a captivating violet by purple carrots then plated as a blossoming rose will romance the palate, while a cutesy egg crepe parcel tied with a red ribbon and soft shell prawns (in lieu of the standard crab) signify the element of surprise in relationships. The finishing note, a raspberry hazelnut mousse with sakura ice-cream, is bound to leave butterflies in your stomach.
