#Valentines2017: Floral scents to gift your better half

Lovers of floral fragrances would enjoy L’Occitane Cerisier Pastel Eau Légère, a new limited edition EDT released in celebration of the brand’s Fleurs de Cerisier fragrance’s 10th anniversary. If the delicately-lacquered bottle doesn’t take your breath away, the notes from this scent might just whisk you for a stroll in a French garden. Its top notes include ambrette, bergamot and pink pepper, with a floral heart of cherry blossom, jasmine, cherry and centifolia rose. Its base of heliotrope, hawthorn and vanilla rounds the scent off beautifully.

Another standout in our list is Gucci Bamboo Limited Edition Eau de Parfum, a feminine scent encased in an amethyst-toned glass inspired by Art Deco. Creative director Alessandro Michele interprets femininity and grace with this woody floral fragrance, imbuing soft yet intense notes together for an exotic touch. Notes of Casablanca Lily and Tahitian Vanilla are a fine juxtaposition to the woody Sandalwood and Grey Amber notes—a sophisticated scent that you can’t miss.

Scents that are ambiguous are always a welcoming treat, especially when it has notes that can complement women as they can for men. The new Maison Francis Kurkdjian Aqua Celestia is inspired by the blues of the sky and the ocean resulting in a fruity fresh scent. Lime, cool mint and blackcurrant is softened by the floral notes of mimosa blossoms from Provence, while musk gives it a sensual edge unlike any other.

DKNY’s signature Be Delicious fragrances get a fashionable update this season, with illustrator Donal Robertson giving it three distinctive designs inspired by various neighbourhoods of NYC. The Chelsea Girl (pink) is for the mysterious persona, with notes of sparkling apple, black rose accord and butterfly orchid for a floral punch. The Brooklyn Girl is made for the fashionista who’s stylish to boot—vibrant blueberry, fressia and jasmine heart is playful yet energizing, while amber adds a sensual base to it. The Nolita Girl is tailor made for the indie, street-style worthy girl who loves a chic scent of her own. Its notes include juicy raspberry, violet petals, magnolia, and creamy sandalwood to round it off.

This one’s for the summer-loving, beach-basking girl who loves a fruity accord in her signature fragrance. Escada Fiesta Carioca is a limited edition fragrance that might just captivate you with its Brazilian passionfruit and European red raspberry notes. For warmth and a touch of allure, orange flower is blended into the passionfruit heart alongside sensual musk and cedar wood in its base notes.
