It seems like Demna Gvasalia isn’t slowing down with collaborative tendencies under his label, Vetements. First introducing an intriguing concept of working with other brands for a runway collection—specifically 18 brands for his Spring/Summer 2017 show, the Georgian designer is now adding Tommy Hilfiger to his list of collaborators.
“The fact that a disruptive designer like Demna [Gvasalia] would want to do something with our brand is a tremendous compliment,” said Hilfiger to WWD. The 66-year old American designer has also worked with Gigi Hadid last season on two commercially successful collections.
Dropping in stores this Autumn, the collection will include unisex items including short-sleeved tees, oversized hoodies, beanies, and socks in mostly shades of grey, red, navy, and fuchsia. Spot the iconic Tommy Hilfiger logo emblazoned in front of a red hoodie, modeled by a Zurich local in front of a tram—first unveiled in Vetements Men’s SS18 lookbook.
