Just in: Manolo Blahnik to open first store in Malaysia by late 2016

Shoe lovers who enjoy nothing more than a full-on footwear splurge can rejoice, for iconic shoe brand Manolo Blahnik finally lands in Malaysia this year. In line with its expansion plans in selected Asian countries including Japan and Singapore, Manolo Blahnik has partnered up with Bluebell Group to open its first stand-alone store in Malaysian shores come this Autumn/Winter season. The new store will span 95 square meters in Pavilion Mall’s Level 2 Specialty Retail area, featuring the brand’s dynamic and immersive experience that its standalone stores are known for. This adds to the brand’s repertoire in 33 countries worldwide with 11 existing standalone stores, including two in Hong Kong and one in Seoul. If you’re more of an online shopper, you can soon shop for a pair of Manolos on FarFetch, all thanks to its e-commerce partnership with the luxury fashion online retailer to create the first mono-brand marketplace.

“We are delighted to now be working with the Bluebell Group in Asia. Manolo Blahnik is a global brand but with comparatively small distribution in Japan, Malaysia and Singapore,” says Kristina Blahnik, CEO of Manolo Blahnik International. “With Bluebell now as our partners we are excited about exploring and building the business in these regions and further territories … We look forward to a successful relationship.”
