With summer just around the corner, Longchamp unveils the Saint-Tropez collection, inspired by the picturesque Southern French city loved by Longchamp University students during their vacations. Embracing the warm hues of sunset, the latest series shines with delightful details, including colourful pearls adorning bags, belts and tunic dresses.

To complement the line, the French brand has launched a dedicated pop-up animation at The Gardens Mall, inviting you to immerse yourself in the Saint-Tropez experience. The pop-up features a soothing pastel palette, accentuated by purple blossoms and rustic terracotta pots, evoking the quaint allure of Saint-Tropez’s winding streets. Here, you’ll discover shorts crafted from upcycled silk scarves, dresses with daring cut-outs, and coveted items like the Le Roseau and Epure bucket bag. Complete your beach-ready ensemble with the newest Longchamp x K. Jacques sandals.

Mary Katrantzou creates history at Bulgari

Bulgari recently announced Mary Katrantzou as its first-ever Creative Director of Leather Goods and Accessories. While this appointment marks Katrantzou’s official role with the House, she has previously collaborated with the brand, showcasing Bulgari pieces in her SS20 couture show and further expanding her partnerships through the Serpenti and Omnia collections. “I’m deeply honoured to be the first Creative Director of Bulgari Leather Goods and Accessories, leading the creative vision for this new chapter and elevating everyday life in the form of art. The rich cultural heritage and dual Greco-Roman roots of Bulgari have played an integral part in my formation as a designer,” says the London-based designer.

On another note, Bulgari CEO Jean-Christophe Babin expressed, “Mary shares with Bulgari not only the Greek origins, but above all the search for excellence in the choice of materials, the way in which they are transformed with a particular emphasis on craftsmanship and a passionate love for colours.” Katrantzou’s debut collection will be available at Bulgari boutiques worldwide in August 2024.

Louis Vuitton showcased its Pre-Fall 2024 collection at the Long Museum West Bund in Shanghai. Under the creative direction of Nicholas Ghesquière, the collection celebrates a decade of innovation at the House, weaving together its heritage and distinctive motifs with the contemporary vision of up-and-coming artist Sun Yitian. The runway came alive with a kaleidoscope of colours and whimsical bestiary motifs, while accessories added depth to the narrative. From the iconic Petite Malle and Twist to the versatile Side Trunk and Capucines, each piece has been thoughtfully reimagined to bind the collection together.

Dior made a stylish statement in New York with the reveal of its Autumn collection, paying homage to Paris and New York. Marlene Dietrich—a beloved figure in Dior’s history—served as a symbolic connection between the two fashion capitals. Amongst esteemed guests, such as NewJeans’ Haerin, Rachel Zegler, Anya Taylor-Joy and Rosamund Pike, the House’s signature silhouette met bold, masculine accents. Trench coats are refreshed with classic prints of the Statue of Liberty and the Eiffel Tower, while jackets are expertly paired with wide-leg pants or below-the-knee pencil skirts. Elsewhere, lace-encrusted slip dresses and shimmering fringe ensembles graced the runway, exuding the glamour synonymous with the brand. Intricate embroidery inspired by stars, clovers and bees added an exquisite touch of elegance to the collection.

Loewe’s annual collaboration with the iconic Paula’s boutique in Ibiza returns with a burst of vibrant energy in their latest collection. This season, Emporio Armani introduces its popular denim collection, offering a diverse range of designs tailored to suit various moods and styles. For women, there are cotton denim options such as shirts and shorts embellished with bold all-over logos, as well as jackets paired with embroidered wide-leg trousers. Earlier this month, Dolce & Gabbana launched its inaugural exhibition, “From the Heart to the Hands: Dolce & Gabbana”. Curated by Florence Müller and produced by IMG, this showcase serves as an affectionate tribute to Italian culture, a constant source of inspiration for the brand’s creative journey. The exhibition features a curated mix of archival treasures and fresh collections, presented in thematic displays that illuminate the diverse layers of Italian cultural heritage, ranging from art and architecture to artisanal crafts and music. Kicking off in Milan, the exhibition will run from April 7 to July 31, 2024, before embarking on a global tour.

Tommy Hilfiger once again teams up with Stray Kids for its Spring 2024 campaign, revisiting Mr Hilfiger’s original vision of modern prep classics. The campaign captures the essence of the K-pop group’s collective energy and sincere friendship through a vibrant red, white and blue palette. The collection includes revamped staples like polo shirts, knitwear, tailored pieces, and the classic varsity jacket, all enhanced with fine fabrics, refined silhouettes, and minute detailing. Reflecting on the collaboration, Stray Kids shares, “We’ve been fans of Tommy Hilfiger since we were kids and we’re thrilled to continue this partnership. We approached this shoot just like band-life, with everyone bringing their unique personality and then merging it with Tommy’s Classic American Cool style.” 

The Spring 2024 collection is now available online and in stores across Malaysia throughout the season.

 

Boggi Milano opens first flagship store in Malaysia 

The Melium Group reached another milestone with the launch of Boggi Milano’s flagship store in Kuala Lumpur. Housed at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, the freshly opened store boasts a sleek, contemporary interior design, inspired by the core principles of the Italian menswear label. Among its highlights is the SS24 collection, a tribute to the Italian style infused with Mediterranean allure.
