Christopher Kane collaborates with Disney on an eco-friendly capsule collection
Be our guest
While some of us Disney fans have had our knickers in a knot this week due to speculation that the long-awaited Beauty and the Beast might not be aired in theaters, this piece of news we’re about to share below might just turn your week around. Fashion enthusiasts and fellow fans of the film can look forward to British designer Christopher Kane’s capsule collection with Disney’s Beauty and the Beast—a 34-piece lineup created in collaboration with Eco-Age, a sustainable consultancy brand.
Due to drop March 16 online and at select retailers, this collection features iconic emblems from the film i.e. the creeping rose, the Beast’s face, and even pint-sized teapots on sweatshirts, tees, dresses, and accessories such as brooches and necklaces. The eco-friendly materials used in the range include organic silk, recycled cotton, and even upcycled rubber for a jacket and skirt combo. But this isn’t just all saccharine sweet with pretty plissé skirts and rose-printed dresses—Kane threw in an edgy leather jacket for those who love Belle for her wit and determined spirit (and also because she isn’t just another Disney princess.)
Below, check out the campaign images shot by Jack Davison and a few of our favourite pieces from the collection:
