Trust Karl Lagerfeld to induce some major summer-wanderlusting vibes in us all with Chanel’s 2016/17 Cruise campaign video. Going along with theme of the much-talked-about collection that was unveiled in Havana back in May, Lagerfeld shot Scottish model Stella Tennant and Argentinian IT model Mica Arganaraz amidst a summery, sun-kissed backdrop.  A touch of Parisian was brought to the deserted shores for this campaign—spot Mica in a sequin black bert and knotted neck scarf in vibrant shades inspired by the facades of Havana, both elevating her crochet knit dress embroidered with bold tropical flora and fauna prints. The sun’s blazing rays didn’t stop eveningwear from making an appearance—the label’s iconic tweed jacket is seen embellished this season with multi-colour braids worn with a Panama hat and XXL hoop earrings that emanated a retro vibe, while a “Coco Libre” T-shirt gave a casual, almost tomboyish juxtaposition to a generously fringed midi skirt.
