After last year’s all-digital showcase, Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week made a grand physical return for 2021, showcasing the ready-to-wear collections of 48 homegrown designers in both digital and physical shows at the heart of Pavilion KL. The week-long celebration of local fashion saw no shortage of exciting moments, from a surprise performance by Joe Flizzow for Alia Bastaman’s romantic ‘Cascade’ collection, to Behati’s boundary-breaking runway that also debuted a song by the designer himself, and the charming assemblage of florals from Fiziwoo’s wildflower-inspired collection. And who’s to forget the spectacular finale featuring Malaysia’s very own supers––Tini, Amber Chia, Deborah Henry, Nasha Aziz and Tengku Azura––gracing the catwalk for the debut of Rizman Ruzaini Red collection.
