Celebrating 10 years of streetwear chic and sports luxe, Alexander Wang’s show had all the makings of successful label—a celeb-filled FROW, a compendium of the his “greatest moments” of his career shown in a short film, and a collection that took inspiration from his original streetwear roots.
This show saw the debut of Alexander Wang menswear, with full-length overalls and low-rise striped leather trousers paired with plaid tops. The details were gritty in the womenswear: chain link accessories (from the purses and sandals to the earrings and straps), and leather fringing on the most unexpected pieces—a khaki army jacket and a leather bustier.
