Inspired by the Spring/Summer theme, TAKEOFF, the MAP collection is a celebration of departure and discovery. At first glance, the familiar triangular structure that defines BAO BAO ISSEY MIYAKE takes on a new dimension. Hand-drawn triangular pieces form abstract street outlines, while subtle printed details suggest buildings rising from the surface—an aerial view of a city imagined from above. It is a poetic interpretation of urban landscapes, where every intersection hints at a different direction and every path promises something new.
Available in two colourways—White and Charcoal—the MAP series reflects the rhythm of travel itself. White evokes the clarity and optimism of a city by day, bright and open, while Charcoal mirrors the quiet allure of nightfall, where lights glow and the journey feels more introspective. Each bag is thoughtfully finished with matching linings and hardware, and features different designs on either side—an intentional nod to duality, perspective, and choice.
