On social media, Carpenter shared that she wrote the song not long after finishing her album Short N’ Sweet, during a confusing yet fun period of her young adult years. “It sounds like the song embodiment of a loving eye roll, and it feels like a never-ending road trip in the summer! hence why I wanted to give it to you now- so you can stick your head out the car window and scream it all summer long,” she explained.

Ed Sheeran releases Desi-inspired single ‘Sapphire’

The single is also accompanied by a heartwarming music video, which sees Sheeran travelling around India to discover its colour, culture, and communities (with a special cameo by superstar Shah Rukh Khan!).

It’s a love story with a happy ending—Taylor Swift now owns all her masters! The pop megastar announced that her “greatest dream” came true as she successfully bought back the masters to her entire music catalogue.

“All of the music I’ve ever made now belongs to me… Every single era. My entire life’s work…The passionate support you showed these albums and the success story you turned The Eras Tour into is why I was able to buy back my music,” Swift said in a letter on her website.

This news comes following years of dispute between her and former manager Scooter Braun after the entrepreneur sold her masters to Shamrock Holdings for $300 million in 2019. Swift began re-recording her albums to regain ownership and control over her older music, which she called Taylor’s Version. Now, you can listen to all of her music guilt-free!
