A Definitive Ranking of the Celebrity Fragrances Making Headlines in 2025

From sweet hints of vanilla to refreshing floral notes, here’s how these new celebrity fragrances stack up.

Hear us out: celebrity fragrances are actually good. Gone are the days of simply slapping a famous name on a bottle and calling it a wrap. Today, celebrities are launching products that genuinely reflect their unique personalities and individual aesthetics, turning their fragrances into something truly worth your attention.

Ahead, we’ve ranked the latest celebrity fragrances to hit the market in 2025. While not all of these scent-sational launches have hit Malaysian shelves just yet, they’re definitely worth keeping an eye on so you’ll be one of the first to get your hands on them.

#1 RARE EAU DE PARFUM

Rare Beauty’s first foray into fine fragrances is anything but basic. While the brand has dipped its toes into scent before with a body mist, Rare Eau de Parfum marks a more elevated, long-wearing addition to its lineup. From the first spritz, a playful trio of caramel, pistachio, and pink pepper teases the senses with equal parts indulgence and brightness. As it warms on the skin, heart notes of vanilla, cocoa bean, and ginger unfold for a cosy richness with a hint of spice. The dry-down is a soft landing of sandalwood, tonka bean, and skin musks, leaving behind a trail that is tender, lingering, and quietly captivating.

Packaging: 9/10

The bottle comes with an oversized ergonomic pump, marrying sleek design with thoughtful usability. Its soft matte finish and pebble-like form is elegant in its simplicity, made to look good on your shelf and feel good in your hand.

Marketing: 10/10

With a focus on authenticity and emotional connection, the campaign taps into Selena Gomez’s vulnerability and Rare Beauty’s ongoing mental health mission. It feels intimate, honest, and aligned with the brand’s core values, making the fragrance feel like a natural extension of the Rare Beauty identity.

Scent: 10/10

Sweet and warm without ever feeling heavy, it strikes a lovely balance between nostalgic gourmand and modern minimalism. Complementing the main fragrance are four scent-layering balms—amber vanilla, floral peony blossom, fresh bergamot, and woody oak—so wearers can customise their scent based on mood, occasion, or personal style.

#2 HENRY ROSE DAVE EAU DE PARFUM

A post shared by Henry Rose (@henryrose)

Dave Eau de Parfum by Henry Rose is a grounded take on modern vanilla. Best known for its transparent approach to clean beauty, the Michelle Pfeiffer-founded brand delivers a warm, intimate scent with a soul. Ambrette and cassis introduce a delicate balance of musk and fruit, while its middle notes bloom into a soft, cocooning blend of orris, cocoa shell, and vanilla. As the fragrance wears on, vetiver, musk, and tonka wrap it in an earthy warmth that feels grounding and deeply familiar.

Packaging: 8/10

In true Henry Rose fashion, the bottle keeps things pared back and purposeful. With its tinted glass and no-frills silhouette, it quietly reflects the ethos of transparency and sustainability. Design purists will appreciate the simplicity, but others might find it lacks the visual flair or personality of more decorative fragrance bottles.

Marketing: 9/10

Named after Pfeiffer’s husband, Dave is a scent rooted in nostalgia and connection. The campaign captures this intimacy beautifully, shifting its focus from performance to emotion and inviting you to wear something that feels like home. After all, what could be more tender than turning love into something you can wear?

Scent: 9/10

Vanilla gets a dreamy rework in Dave. It wears like whipped vanilla cream—light, airy, and comforting. A hint of tangerine brightens the blend, adding just enough lift to keep it from veering too sweet. While it leans more gourmand than spicy, Dave still feels like a grown-up take on vanilla.

Dave Eau de Parfum isn’t available on our shores yet, but stay tuned!

Sabrina Carpenter is taking the phrase, “That’s that me espresso”, quite literally with her latest fragrance drop. The newest addition to her Sweet Tooth collection blends the bold richness of roasted coffee beans, cocoa powder, and caramel with night-blooming jasmine, vanilla orchid, and sugared amber for a delicate floral touch.

Packaging: 10/10

The baby blue chocolate bar-inspired flacon is very on brand for Miss Carpenter, and its compact shape makes it great on the go.

Marketing: 6/10

Honestly, the pop star and her team could be pushing camp a bit more—currently, the campaign visuals, while decently nice, don’t really inspire.

Scent: 10/10

Gourmand is hot this year, and this fragrance absolutely nails the balance of sweet and sexy without tipping into cloying territory.

A post shared by BILLIE EILISH (@billieeilish)

Created by two-time Academy Award winner Billie Eilish, Your Turn takes a bold and sensual approach to fragrance. It opens with vibrant notes of bergamot peel, cardamom, and fresh ginger for a zesty punch. Then, it reveals a floral sweetness with a combination of velvety peach skin, night-blooming jasmine, and coconut water. Finally, the base is anchored by Australian sandalwood, captive musks, and upcycled Sylvamber for a woody finish.

Packaging: 9/10

The dice-shaped bottle with sculptural contours is sleek and edgy, mirroring Billie’s signature aesthetic. With a matte slate finish and clean lines, it feels modern, unisex, and compact—perfect for passing between hands or rolling the dice on who wears it next.

Marketing: 7/10

The campaign taps into intimacy and connection, with a fragrance meant to be shared between people regardless of gender. While the visuals are polished and moody, a bit more storytelling could’ve pushed the concept further. Still, Billie’s cool-factor does a lot of the heavy lifting.

Scent: 10/10

A blend of fresh, floral, and woody is always a winning combination. Vibrant and alluring, it’s a versatile choice that’s hard to beat.

Inspired by the essence of dawn, Kylie Jenner’s latest fragrance promises a new beginning with a fresh yet sensual composition. Opening with a bright burst of pear accord and pink pepper, this scent unfolds into a blend of vanilla orchid and soothing lavender. Then, it settles into a smooth, comforting base of amber and sandalwood.

Packaging: 8/10

The Cosmic 2.0 leans into a futuristic aesthetic, with a chrome-finished bottle sculpted with grooves to fit nicely in hand. While its mirrored surface adds to the visual appeal, it’s prone to fingerprints, which can dull its shine over time.

Marketing: 7/10

Kylie knows her brand, and the fragrance’s campaign reflects that with sleek visuals, cohesive celestial themes, and plenty of social media teasers. However, the rollout felt a little low-key compared to the impact her beauty launches usually make.

Scent: 9/10

Grounded, calming, and uplifting—it strikes a beautiful balance between fresh and floral with just the right touch of warmth that doesn’t overwhelm, making it a seamless choice for any occasion.

#6 FENTY PARFUM HAIR AND BODY MIST

Crafted by perfumer Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud, this superfine mist offers a subtler take on Fenty Beauty’s signature spicy floral fragrance. It blends fresh tangerine, magnolia, Bulgarian rose, and musk to reflect Rihanna’s quintessence. Designed for both hair and body, you can use it for day, night, and all year round.

Packaging: 7/10

The 30ml glass bottle features a lighter amber hue, reflecting Rihanna’s favourite colour. Its curved design adds elegance to any vanity, though the compact size may not be ideal for those seeking a more substantial presence.

Marketing: 8/10

The campaign flows from serene to intense, capturing the fragrance’s multifaceted nature. The visuals are striking and evocative, with a bold message celebrating individuality and freedom, mirroring the essence of the fragrance.

Scent: 9/10

Cosy, crisp, and subtly confident—this is the go-to scent for those who want to smell effortlessly put together without trying too hard.

#7 R.E.M. BEAUTY CHERRY ECLIPSE EAU DE PARFUM

A post shared by r.e.m.beauty (@r.e.m.beauty)

The brainchild of vocal powerhouse Ariana Grande, Cherry Eclipse by R.E.M. Beauty is a go-to for those seeking something that’s both floral and fruity. It blends black cherry, honeysuckle, marshmallow, and jasmine sambac to create a sweet yet tangy scent. As it settles, the fragrance reveals a grounding base of amber and musk, leaving a warmth that lingers throughout the day.

Packaging: 8/10

Housed in a soft pink bottle with a crystal-like holder, the flacon combines elegance and modernity with a subtle Glinda-inspired touch. It’s a standout piece on any vanity, though its bulkier shape might not be the most practical for those looking for a more travel-friendly option.

Marketing: 5/10

While the fragrance has a lot of potential, the campaign visuals are fairly lacklustre. There has been little fanfare or standout content to spark excitement, leaving it feeling a bit underwhelming compared to her previous releases.

Scent: 7/10

It’s a sophisticated choice that works well for both day and night wear. However, its complexity might not be everyone’s cup of tea, especially for those who prefer lighter, more straightforward blends.
