We’ve already sorted out your gifting needs—from the best advent calendars to collect this year to the most stunning holiday beauty collections to cop—but what about your festive-ready look for the slew of parties you have this season?

Whether you’re working with medium-length locks or a layered lob, these celebrity hairdos are your best bet to acing a party-ready manicure. Take your pick from braided buns to dreamy waves—here are all the A-lister-approved hairstyles you can rock to any upcoming Christmas parties, New Year blowouts and beyond:

Hailey Bieber’s spiky updo

Bring the drama and the chicness to your holiday ‘do with Hailey Bieber’s snatched updo. All you’ll need is a claw clip, some hair gel and a hair straightener.

Get the look:

  1. Straighten your hair from root to end, taking care to be thorough
  2. Part your hair to the side (you can also part it in the middle to go full ’90s)
  3. Separate out your face-framing strands as desired
  4. Pull your hair back into a ponytail, using gel to smooth the sides down flush against your scalp
  5. Twist the ponytail upwards to form the spiky tail and secure with a claw clip (you may need to wrap the tail around itself if you have longer hair)
  6. Set with hairspray!

Lauren Tsai’s simple half-updo

This pretty half-updo is easy to achieve, but looks so put-together. Perfect for straight-haired girlies with grown-out curtain bangs, all you need to recreate the look is a ribbon, a curling iron and some hair wax or hairspray.

Get the look:

  1. Part your hair to the side (how deep your part goes is up to you!)
  2. Section your hair from ear to ear
  3. Tie up the top section of hair in a ponytail, using a comb to smooth the hair
  4. Pick out pieces of your bangs to frame your face and curl them from the bottom
  5. Secure your half-pony with a bow
  6. Set the look with hairspray
  7. Optional: Curl the ends of your hair all over for a more put-together finish

Alexa Chung’s sleek ’20s-esque low bun

If you’re working with day-old hair, Alexa Chung’s sleek low bun is here to help you salvage your look. To recreate the look, you’ll need gel, a hair tie and a few statement hair clips.

Get the look:

  1. Part your hair to the side
  2. Section out three inches of hair from your hairline back and clip it out of the way
  3. Tie the rest of your hair into a low bun (optional: If you want a little more volume, you may backcomb your hair at the root from the crown to the nape of your neck first)
  4. Use gel and a comb to smooth down the hair in your low bun
  5. Apply more gel to the section at your hairline, and use a comb and your fingers to create waves
  6. Finish off your look with clips!

Saoirse Ronan’s tinsel braids

If Saoirse Ronan’s tinsel tresses don’t scream party, we don’t know what does! The best part about this look is that the braids and bun are optional—if you want to keep your hair down but still want a festive twist, a little tinsel goes a long way!

Get the look:

  1. Tie tinsel in a knot at the root of your hair where you want it
  2. Braid sections of your hair (you can add as many braids as you like!)
  3. Pull the rest of your hair up into a bun and secure with bobby pins
  4. Optional: Finish up the look with a matching ribbon to add some extra festive flavour to the look!

Zendaya’s voluminous side part

Pretty much the definition of a minimal-effort, high-payoff hairstyle, this ‘do is perfect for any occasion from Christmas through to the new year.

Get the look:

  1. Part your hair in a deep side part (the arch of your eyebrow is a good parking point)
  2. Curl your whole head of hair (use a thin barrel for tighter, more defined curls and a thicker barrel for looser waves)
  3. Backcomb at the root from your crown to the nape of your neck for more volume
  4. Rake your fingers through your curls to volumise and separate them
  5. Set with hairspray

Rosie Huntington Whitley’s sleek low bun

To elevate any outfit, opt for Rosie Huntington Whiteley’s sleek low bun. It looks beautifully polished but doesn’t take too much elbow grease to achieve.

Get the look:

  1. Part your hair in the middle
  2. Smooth your hair down to the nape of your neck and secure the ponytail with a hair elastic
  3. Backcomb the length of your hair lightly and smooth over the top layers.
  4. Pull the hair through a hair elastic as if you were tying a ponytail, but stop halfway through to create a loop
  5. Adjust the size of the loop until it is shaped as you desire it
  6. Take the remaining tail of hair and wrap it around the base to conceal the hair elastic
  7. Pin it all in place and finish up with hairspray
