5 Reasons why the Hyatt Regency Danang Resort and Spa is the perfect wellness destination

Thinking of booking a wellness getaway to soothe your soul? Here’s why the Hyatt Regency Danang Resort and Spa is well worth a visit.

Resort life is indulgence and pleasure rolled into one hedonistic getaway, and there’s no better place to do just that than the Hyatt Regency Danang Resort and Spa. Tucked away in 20 hectares of gorgeous gardens and coconut groves, the five-star resort’s impressive property is flanked by Da Nang’s stunning Marble Mountain cave temples and the vast golden sands of Non Nuoc Beach. What more could you ask for?

The hotel itself is designed to be the ideal destination for families, equipped with plenty of amenities to cater to every generation. If you’re looking to create memories with your kids, take some time out for yourself or even go on a romantic getaway, there’s no better place to kick back.

I had the pleasure of visiting the resort for a long weekend, and these are five reasons why I’ll be coming back:

Reason #1: The endless beach views

When it comes to wellness, the beach is a must. Non Nuoc beach stretches for miles, and on the horizon lies countless mountainous views. I spent as much time on the golden sands as I could during my stay, and it was beyond dreamy.

Not only are the beaches pristine, but they are relatively quiet too. Don’t get me wrong—the Hyatt Regency is a family resort, so do expect there to be children far and wide. But, there are plenty of little quiet pockets of sand and beach-adjacent poolside spots where you can relax and rejuvenate in total peace.

PS: If you’ve come with kids and you’re looking for a short reprieve from childcare duty, the Camp Hyatt team is here to entertain your kids at the resort’s multi-zone wonderland.

Reason #2: The gorgeous spa

No wellness getaway is complete without a dedicated spa, and Vie Spa is among the best I’ve been to. Rooted in the ancient traditions of Vietnamese medicine, Vie Spa’s holistic treatments are just one more way to indulge in the culture of Vietnam. Surrounded by Hyatt Regency’s lush gardens, the spa incorporates serene water fixtures that soothe and calm your senses before you even step into your treatment room. Speaking of which, the spa is equipped with eight single and two couple treatment rooms, each of which features indoor showers and a private outdoor bath.

For obvious reasons, the spa was the highlight of my trip. I’m familiar with Melayu Urut and Thai massages, but I’d never experienced a Vietnamese massage. That has obviously, changed with this trip away. Honestly, I  cannot tell you a single thing that happened in that treatment room because I was completely conked out. As soon as my head hit the pillow and my back started being worked on, I was a goner.

The pressure was perfect, working out all the kinks in my body without leaving me bruised or sore. In short, my body felt so rejuvenated after my massage. Better yet, the post-massage ritual was such a treat. Before leaving the spa, I was served fresh mango (delicious!) and the tea of my choice—the cherry on top of a fabulous experience!

Reason #3: The stunning rooms

The decor at the Hyatt Regency Danang Resort and Spa strikes the perfect blend between contemporary design and traditional Vietnamese accents. I loved the woody elements and light linens that decorated my room—it made the room feel so homey while still looking extremely chic.

Better yet, the bathroom was decked out with a rain shower and bathtub (the latter of which I made full use of during my stay), with a pool and beachside view to die for. And to top it all off? My room was on the ground floor, which meant that I could get out to the pool and the beach in less than 30 seconds.

Reason #4: The fantastic food

Wellness doesn’t stop with beach views and full body massages—you’ve got to nourish your body while you nourish your soul! Fortunately, the Hyatt Regency Danang Resort and Spa is flush with choice when it comes to dining. If you’re in the mood for Italian, the Osteria al Mare all-day dining restaurant has plenty of options, from its delectable breakfast buffet to its mouth-watering dinner menu.

Alternatively, for a beachside date, there’s Vive Océane, the resort’s Beach Club and Restaurant. The restaurant serves a tantalising fusion of French-Mediterranean and Vietnamese cuisine with a picturesque view of the Son Tra Peninsula.

If you’re looking for a little local flavour during your stay, the Pool House offers a scrumptious menu of Vietnamese staples and Western comfort classics perfect for a quick pre-swim lunch date or a family getaway.

And, if you’re looking for something for the kids, look no further than Le Petit Chef. The 90-minute dining experience is a treat for families, upgrading your dining experience with some tabletop entertainment. The food is simple enough for kids to stomach without complaint, but the 3D light show is what makes it a truly unforgettable experience.

Reason #5: The convenient location

Tired of all the relaxing and unwinding? When you’ve been letting your brain rot for days, it happens. Fortunately, there’s more to do than laze around by the pool and lay out on the beach. Right next to the hotel is Marble Mountain, a cave temple that’s well worth a visit (and, if you’re not keen on climbing stairs, you can always opt to take the lift up!). Alternatively, you can head into Da Nang to wander around the Han Market and discover the nightlife.

And, if you’re really keen on doing some serious shopping, Hoi An is just a short 30-minute drive away. Stop by for great eats, plenty of culture and tailor-made custom clothes and leather goods.

The takeaway

I went into my weekend away burnt out and left completely renewed and refreshed. I could definitely go on more about the Hyatt Regency Danang Resort and Spa, but these are just the main highlights—it’s best that you experience it for yourself! All in all, if you’re looking for a great getaway, I can’t recommend it enough.
