PFW SS16 Day 3: Chiseled contours and crimped hair

Amidst all the drama and theatrics (Rick Owens’s human  backpacks, anyone?) on Day 3 of Paris Fashion Week S/S’16, there were equally mind-blowing beauty trends from subtle contouring and highlighting to flashy disco-worthy eye makeup and hairdos.

Balmain’s models had sleek, high ponytails for a futuristic look paired with bold brows, contours and faint flick of cat-eye eyeshadow on their lids, while Ann Demeulemeester echoed the brows-and-countours sentiment along with a smokier eye. Lanvin however, went with a slightly androgynous route as all models had cropped short hairdos and minimal makeup.

Apart from swaying human limbs, Rick Owens’s models also sported massively crimped and teased hair that went well (presumably) with the show’s theme. But no one did crimped hair as well as Manish Arora, where bright lips and rainbow-hued eyes dusted with glitter and sequins also made for a exuberantly colourful show.
