Prada's Minimal Baroque sunglasses is anything but minimal
The iconic eyewear returns with a fresh update in an exclusive new collection

When the Minimal Baroque sunnies first made an appearance on the Prada runway in 2011, they gained instant popularity, thanks to the one-of-a-kind silhouette. Renowned for its bold curves, the sunglasses are updated in a new collection, celebrating the combination of creative experimentation and meticulous craftsmanship.

The new collection features flowers and foliage motifs that grew wild in the Baroque period, paying homage to one of art history's most exuberant era. Stylized plant life such as acanthus leaves, palm fronds and laurel branches is abstracted into scrolling garlands that bud and branch into the defining curve of the dramatic yet elegant eyewear.

Presenting three new styles, ornate and intricate motifs from the pasts design are refined into a single, streamlined gesture. Whether it is a double bridge style, elaborate curves or curling temples, each Minimal Baroque number is an eye-catching piece that demands attention. Decide which tickles your fancy in the gallery below:

The 'Minimal Baroque' special collection is available in Prada boutiques and through selected high-end retailers
