Jaeger-LeCoultre presents Tides of Time in partnership with UNESCO

To mark the occasion, Jaeger-LeCoultre aptly highlights its Tides of Time partnership with the UNESCO World Heritage Marine Programme. Since 2008, the Swiss watchmaker has been working with UNESCO to help conserve the 47 marine sites that appear on the World Heritage List, ensuring the sustainability of the unique ocean ecosystems of these sites.

Through financial support and extensive involvement in the UNESCO World Heritage projects, Jaeger-LeCoultre contributes to the conservation of some of the most precious resources on planets while raising public awareness on the matter. For example, at Glacier Bay National Park in Alaska, they supported an exploratory expedition of this largely unexplored site. Meanwhile in Australia, technical support was given to UNESCO World Heritage Centre to help establish a 30-year plan geared toward the long-term protection of the Great Barrier Reef (as pictured above).

Some of these projects will be presented in Jaeger-LeCoultre boutiques worldwide, to give patrons a better understanding of the threats endangering the planet’s natural treasures, as well as the positive impact made by the efforts of UNESCO and its local partners.
