In full bloom: Buro 24/7 unveils Van Cleef & Arpels' Frivole collection in style
An afternoon delight
The impressive flower wall outside the Van Cleef & Arpels boutique at Starhill Gallery gave guests a preview of what to expect in the store. Yesterday afternoon, Buro 24/7 Malaysia co-hosted an exclusive event with the French jewellery brand to unveil the latest Frivole collection that has just arrived on our shores. Celebrities and friends of Buro turned up to take a peek (and try out) the new additions to the collection, comprising nine creations characterised by the iconic heart-shaped petals folded to angle on a groove down their middle. Esteemed guests including Zaida Ibrahim, YM Datin Indera Che Puan Amelia, Lee Yin Yen, and Bella Kuan had the opportunity to wear a curated selection of Van Cleef & Arpels pieces throughout the event as well.
After a welcome speech by our Deputy Editor Gwen Ong, Retail Director of Van Cleef and Arpels Julie Clody gave a brief introduction of the Frivole collection—a foliage inspired lineup that takes on the floral motif (a signature of Van Cleef & Arpels since the 1920s). The savoir-faire of the Frivole's designs are evident with a closer look at each cluster of petals, all boasting a three-dimentional form that allows a subtle, natural fold. Nine additions to the existing collection include ethereal bracelets that come in a new size with a single bloom alongside yellow gold pieces paved with top-grade diamonds.
Apart from taking in the sparkling sights from the glass showcases, guests indulged in bubbly and canapés while customising their bouquet of blooms at a flower market within the store. What better way to top off the evening with a mandatory pose by the flower wall, replete with their personalised blooms? As the event came to an end, guests went home with said flowers, fragrance from Van Cleef & Arpels, and Buro 24/7 Malaysia merchandise.
