Buro 24/7 Exclusive: Watch #CartierDiamonds film teaser featuring Karen Elson

The excitement upon receiving and wearing a diamond ring on one’s finger for the first time is palpable and almost infectious, especially so if it’s a Cartier ring. Now, in a spellbinding 90-second short film of music and images featuring model, singer and musician Karen Elson, find an exhilarating interpretation of how a woman’s range of emotions are like when she slips a Cartier diamond ring onto her finger—set entirely in Place Vendôme and the Grand Palais in Paris where the reverie of the evening sees beauty met with elegance.

Lending her voice to this rendition of the 1949 cult favourite song “Diamonds Are A Girl’s Best Friend” (rearranged by Jarvis Cocker), Karen Elson’s expertise in the industry knows no boundaries, from singing alongside Jeff Beck and Jack White to being photographed by notable fashion photographers such as Bruce Weber and Mario Testino. Cartier’s short and upbeat film is directed by Swedish director Johan Renck, whose impressive portfolio includes working with Madonna, Beyonce and Lana Del Rey, along with directing films for television and cinema such as Breaking Bad.
