Pretty Suci considers itself the world’s leading halal beauty portal, and for good reason; the brand offers a multitude of beauty products, with a specially-curated men’s care line, too. In particular, its ‘Lipstick Hub’ has a wide selection of lipsticks and other lip care items. Recently, Pretty Suci also collaborated with Sephora to produce its ‘Aisha’ line, which you can pick up at any local Sephora branch.

Try the Moist Jumbo sticks for a hydrating pigmented finish, or go for Matte Lipsticks and Liquid Lipsticks if you prefer a matte look. The brand also has a wide range of skincare and cosmetics, including foundation, setting sprays and eyeshadow palettes.

Orkid Cosmetics

Another halal-certified lipstick brand with local roots is Orkid Cosmetics. The vegan, non-toxic and cruelty-free label’s bestselling liquid lipstick comes in versatile shades ranging from blush pink to brick red, and each product is formulated with high-quality pigments imported from Europe.

Velvet Vanity Cosmetics is touted to be the first beauty brand in Malaysia that is 100 per cent vegan, cruelty-free and approved by the Ministry of Health Malaysia. Its bestseller is Glo With The Flo, a two-in-one, water-based tint that can be used for the lips and cheeks for a highly-pigmented flush. If you’re into matte liquid lipsticks, go with their moisturising lip colours that come in a range of shades.
