Cherrie Liong shows us how twinning is done—in The Marc Jacobs collection
Seeing double
Cherrie and her 'twin' (not Evangeline) pose in the best looks from Marc Jacobs new line, dubbed The Marc Jacobs collection
After news broke late last year that the brand is launching a new line titled The Marc Jacobs, the collection has finally been unveiled, and we've got first dibs at shooting the wishlist-worthy looks. In a statement released by the brand, the designer said, "We wanted to do something that is unlike the collections we are already doing, in that it is more 'item-y'. These items are things that you could put together in your own way; it's more about personal styling than about having a full runway look." And the "item-y" direction was definitely translated into the collection, as it was made up of eclectic and quirky separates that'll spruce up the simplest of looks.
Consisting of RTW, bags, shoes and jewellery, the designs were inspired by the periods, music, art and pop culture that are true to the aesthetic and spirit of the brand. This round, in particular, has items launched in collaboration of two creatives—New York Magazine and Peanuts. One of the most iconic symbols of the Big Apple, the classic New York Magazine logo was reimagined and emblazoned all over the pieces, while Peanuts—a favourite of Marc's—was incorporated mostly in the form of comic strips. Our favourite? The leather tote bags that are filled with oh-so-relatable quotes such as "I think I'm allergic to morning". It's impossible not to associate Marc Jacobs' designs with the word fun, and there's bound to be something from the collection that'll put a smile on your face regardless of your style. Accompanying the looks, are the brand's It-bags—the Pack Shot and Snapshot—that always have a special place in our heart.

Here, Cherrie Liong and her 'twin' have some fun at twinning—albeit in a slightly different manner this time (sans her real twin sister, Evangeline)—in a series of looks that showcases The Marc Jacobs collection and both of its collaborations this round:
Take a closer look at the pumps and you'll notice the diamond ring that's stacked on the heel—talk about quirk!

The full-black and white Pack Shot (and Snapshot) bags were first introduced in Spring/Summer 2019, and they're selling out as we speak.
