Love dressing up (or rather, down) in streetwear? We know we do. And if like us, you can't get enough of street style (even with September being fashion's biggest month), then this AW19 capsule collection by DKNY should be on your radar. No, really.
This year, DKNY turns 30 years old (happy anniversary!) and to celebrate this special milestone, the fashion house has launched a capsule collection in collaboration with the MTA (metropolitan transportation authority) for Autumn/Winter 2019. The limited edition pieces – comprising of only 10 items (take note, collectors!) – are inspired by the city that never sleeps as an homage to the brand's New York roots. One big inspo? The big apple's subways. After all, it's an iconic element that's part of the bustling city's DNA. One look at the (mostly) monochromatic collection and you'll instantly notice its exclusive MTA print: a collage of street signage you'd see along subway stations and bike lanes. This statement print – along with the brand logo and phrases like "Don't Knock New York" – are rendered throughout the collection's athletic silhouettes and textures; from breezy shirt dresses and comfy nylon joggers to cut-out knit leggings and uber-cool oversized anoraks (seriously, how can one say no?).
Back in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysian influencers Ashley Lau and Junees Teoh threw on the garments in our very own concrete jungle and judging from the shoot, they've certainly found their favourites. Scroll through the spread and watch the video below to get some #streetstyle inspo, then find out their top picks from this top-notch birthday collection.
