Above the curve: The best of Pre-Fall 2019
On the right lines
This Pre-Fall 2019 season, we're dialing back the drama while tuning up the interest
After a crazy fun Spring/Summer'19 party, we're taking a breather this Pre-Fall 2019 before the impending autumn. When it comes to the best looks this season, the drama is dialed back in exchange for laidback dresses and easy tailoring that, fret not, still warrant a double-take.

What we love most about the transition season, is that while the trends are not necessarily groundbreaking, they have all been proven and tested. Minimal silhouettes are amped up with new-and-improved details such as structural, strong shoulders and cut-outs, followed by linear prints and pops of metallic for a striking finish.

Pantsuit-wise, Max Mara's rich burnt-orange tone warms our heart, and Gucci's hint of retro will always strike the right chord. Versace, Dior, and Bottega Veneta's no-nonsense LBDs (long black dress, for the latter) are anything-but-basic. And if you'd like to bring on the drama, Chanel and Louis Vuitton, in particular, stood out with the silhouettes that have been a recent street style favourite.
