BURO Gadget Guide: 5 Trailblazing gadgets released in July 2023

Technology moves fast—you blink and then suddenly there’s a bunch of new releases from all the brands you’ve been keeping up with. In case you missed it, we’ve compiled a list of trailblazing tech gadgets that were released this month. From the latest phones to the newest sports watch that will make your game better, here are five releases that caught our eye in July 2023.

SAMSUNG GALAXY Z FLIP 5

At its recent bi-annual Unpacked event, Samsung introduced a lineup of new gadgets from its Samsung Galaxy line. The collection has evolved tremendously through the years and once again, Samsung has upped the ante with the latest Galaxy Z Flip5, which takes personalisation and self-expression to the next level with the new Flex Window. Now 3.78 times larger than the previous generation, this new feature gives users a wide range of capabilities, including accessing important information at just one glance. Users can view all their widgets easily or switch between them by pinching the screen to activate the Multi Widget View.

If you’re still worried about the display, fret no more! The Z Flip5 has a new reinforced display and a new shock dispersion layer, and the dual rail structure of the Flex Hinge makes it solid while being able to withstand external and internal impact. The Galaxy Z Flip5 also has Samsung’s most versatile camera experience that allows users to get creative with their angles or take high-quality selfies easily with the rear camera, all thanks to the larger Flex Window.

NOTHING PHONE (2)

No brand does sleek and minimal design like Nothing. The all-new Phone (2) was meticulously engineered for enhanced aesthetics and upgraded technology, such as the ergonomic hands-on experience with a 1 mm thinner midframe and a pillowed glass back. It’s now bigger and better with a 6.7 inch flexible LTPO OLED display with 1600 nits peak pixel brightness that intuitively adapts its 120 Hz refresh rate to preserve power when you’re not on your phone.

In an effort to encourage users to be more present, the Nothing Phone (2) now has a Glyph Interface that provides essential information without the constant need to look at the screen. You can also personalise the light and sequences to your contacts and apps, so you’ll know the exact notification without having to look at your screen.

There’s no skimping on visuals here either. The Phone (2) has Nothing’s most premium smartphone camera experience to date with a 32 MP front camera, a dual rear camera system that has two advanced 50 MP sensors, with the main sensor upgraded to the Sony IMX890. Packed with a 4700 mAh battery, Phone (2) has lasting battery life to power users through their everyday lives. Plus, it regains 50 per cent power in just under 20 minutes with fast wired charging.
