Here we are again at the end of yet another workweek. This weekend, we want to make sure you get plenty of fun in, so we’ve compiled a diverse array of events and activities you can head to with your favourite people. Get your fill of dancing, live music, and good food all in one space at The Exchange TRX’s Saturday Soirées, a weekly party that is part of its larger TRX Eats celebrations. Perfect for energising your weekends, the event’s programmes include live DJ sets, dance sessions, and dining deals ready for you to enjoy. You’ll also stand a chance to win some prizes and vouchers when dining at The Exchange TRX. All you have to do is spend RM200 on a single receipt at participating outlets and you’ll get a turn at the gashapon machine on Level 1 by Union Bistrot.

2. DIG INTO EXQUISITE CANTONESE CUISINE AT CHEF THOMAS FONG’S LAI PO HEEN TAKEOVER

Where: Lai Po Heen, Mandarin Oriental

Lai Po Heen has welcomed Chef Thomas Fong from Mandarin Oriental Doha’s famed Liang restaurant for a week-long residency in its kitchen. As part of his takeover, Chef Thomas has crafted a special à la carte menu for diners to enjoy. It includes dishes such as chilled Angus beef salad, crispy fried duck, and wok-fried handmade noodles with prawns. On top of that, there will also be a selection of special dim sum plates available for you to savour.

3. CHEERS TO COLEY TURNING EIGHT WITH ITS BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS

Beloved cocktail bar Coley is hosting a slew of guest shifts and food specials to commemorate its eighth birthday. Behind the bar on Saturday are Hanna Razali of Whist KL, Kah Mun from Terumi, Boey from Round Penang, Joe from Haiiro Usagi in Johor Bahru, and a special mystery guest! During Sunday’s festivities, Chef Toni Valero and Tiki Chua will be serving up drool-wrothy brunch grills and tapas, alongside a selection of sherry-infused cocktails. Poetry by PIM will also grace the celebrations on Sunday, providing guests with a commemorative poem inspired by their stories.

Add some colour and fun to your weekend at The Messy Club’s ‘Whimsy Wonderland’ market, hosted in collaboration with Samsung Galaxy AI. Happening at Semua House, the market will be host to over 30 vendors and an exciting musical lineup. Featured brands include Sahl, Ricchumodisch, Beadesthetic, and more. While shopping, you’ll be taking in tunes from local artists such as The Impatient Sisters and Lemon Lime.

5. GET A LOOK INTO NEW BALANCE’S LEGACY AT ITS GREY DAYS POP-UP

Head over to Slate at The Row KL for a look into New Balance’s iconic grey hues and how it has shaped its legacy. The Grey Days pop-up features an exhibition of the latest collections and interactive experiences, where you can customise your own grey-themed accessories. You can also redeem a set of special handmade concrete trays by making a minimum purchase at the event. Plus, everyone has a chance to win a pair of Grey shoes by simply visiting the pop-up.

6. SPARK YOUR OWN JOY AT PASAR BESTIES

Where: The School by Jaya One

The Butterfly Project—a community platform dedicated to raising awareness for mental health—is hosting Pasar Besties this weekend in an effort to bring a little joy to everyone’s days. The bazaar aims to be an opportunity for you to destress and support local wellness initiatives. Its lineup includes over 30 vendors selling pre-loved and handmade items, as well as 13 partner brands offering free massages and workshops for you to participate in.

7. RECYCLE YOUR WORN OUT LUGGAGES WITH SAMSONITE’S TRADE-IN CAMPAIGN
